There has been some talk from fans that the Royals should trade Vinnie Pasquantino. But I wrote that could cause more problems that it solves. royalsreview.com/kansas-city…

Why are you stealing third with two outs? There's being aggressive and then there are TOOTBLANS

The Rays and Brewers are meeting in the World Series. Back in September I wrote about what the Royals could learn from these two small-market success stories. royalsreview.com/kansas-city…

If you have a short attention span, the good news is that there aren’t a ton of names the Royals have to consider adding to the 40-man roster!

I'm always amazed at the number of people that like baseball that want *fewer* baseball games. 162 is great! Get rid of the mediocre playoff teams!
Major League Baseball proposed cutting the regular-season schedule from 162 games to 154 games in a bargaining session with the MLBPA today. Also part of its proposal: higher seeds in playoffs get to choose their opponents, and division series expand to seven games.

Also seems to bolster the point that MLB owners don't need to spend money on payroll to be successful in the standings.
MLB Payrolls of the remaining teams, ranked. Guardians: 29th Rays: 28th White Sox: 27th Brewers: 19th Dodgers: 1st So one out of the top 5 teams left spends money, and apparently that means we need a salary cap?

Imagine how good it would feel to send Liberty Biberty 450 feet deep to dead center in a home run derby

FWIW, two teams in the playoffs scored fewer runs this year than the Royals (Cleveland and Boston). No teams that allowed more runs than the Royals made the playoffs.

I really hate how likable the White Sox have become.

It sounds like the Royals could be pretty active in trying to upgrade the bullpen, starting rotation, and outfield. But don't expect them to bring in high-priced relievers. What J.J. previewed about the offseason in his end-of-year presser: royalsreview.com/kansas-city…

Its important to remember that when baseball teams win, its because of the players, but when they lose, its because of analytics.

incredible that the royals have more World Series appearances in the last 40 years than they do appearances on this list

I don't really think this changes much. He is still director of hitting. But maybe having Connor Dawson and Marcus Thames as the voices players are hearing more will have an impact. Also, development of Cags and Jensen, and even Massey this year was very encouraging.
