Massachusetts is the most expensive state on the continental United States to live in.
Latest MERIC data (Q2 2026): 48.1% above the national average. Only Hawaii is higher overall, but among the contiguous states, we’re #1. Housing and utilities are the biggest drivers.
What do you think also contributes to Massachusetts ranking this high? What do you think is the main reason?

The Founding Fathers tied voting rights to property ownership.
Their (correct) reasoning was that only property owners have skin in the long game.
Brazilian stocks plunged nearly 25% after an election, the market has made it very clear that it thinks.
Yet non-owners barely feel the pain even if everyone pays eventually for the cost of socialism.
The solution, however, isn’t fewer voters, but more capital owners.
A healthier democracy requires widespread capital ownership, not just income redistribution.
Universal stock grants held in trust until age 25–30, with earlier access for education, would give everyone a stake in the country’s future.
There’s an obvious irony in using redistribution to defend capitalism.
The goal isn’t to socialize ownership but rather to decentralize it.
A society dependent on the state is different than a democracy of individual owners with a stake in its future.

BREAKING: 🇧🇷 The ETF tracking Brazil's stock market has crashed almost 20% in pre market after Lula won the presidential election
Petrobras is down 12% and Itaú is down 14% in pre market.
If Brazil's market opens with a similar drop, more than R$1.1 trillion will be wiped out from its market cap today.

Once socialism takes hold, you cannot simply vote it out. Look at Brazil tonight. Let that be a warning, America. Flavio won this election and it was just stolen in front of the entire world.

Evil won tonight in Brazil but the momentum against commies in Latin America is undeniable. Their days are numbered.

You can vote your way into communism, but you can't vote your way out.
