Remember, Halloween isn’t until tomorrow. If you go out tonight and see a vampire or skeleton, you shoot them with a gun.

Mojang after realizing they accidentally published an update people actually wanted
It looks as though mojang has rolled out a hot fix to prevent non legacy owners from being able to access the PS4 edition. Sad news!

UPDATE: Reddit down 30% in one day
Reddit is getting rid of logged out browsing. They want to require everyone to be logged in to access the site. They’re claiming it’s to protect against scraping which is hilarious because the site has already been scraped. End of an era. No more googling “question + Reddit”

My favourite part about Windsor castle is how they have a wide range of restaurants in the immediate vicinity so that any besieging army need never worry about getting bored with the food.

“Why won’t you run your business at a loss?” cries the economically illiterate MP
“Why are Poundland’s owners risking thousands of jobs and yet more empty shopfronts on our high streets when there is reportedly a credible offer to buy the business as a going concern? Three directors brought in as restructuring experts have resigned after just two weeks. There are now reports that the owners are seeking full repayment of a £30 million shareholder loan acquired as part of the £1 deal to buy the company less than 18 months ago, on the promise of a turnaround. “This raises serious questions about whether the restructuring is being pursued in good faith. We need an urgent investigation while there is still time to protect jobs and save stores. “Accountability must come before the damage is done, not after workers have lost their livelihoods and the shutters have come down.”

It's pretty wild how every company wants me to do 2FA and strong passwords and passkeys and step my parents through how to do it and then my info just gets stolen from some major hack that has nothing to do with any of those things.

they'll just show a single, slightly singed contract in a filing cabinet that says "Peter Parker" or something because they're spineless hacks.

Only in Britain could a massive station (over 7.5 million passengers a year) be closed for half a year over escalator repairs. We are NOT a serious country.
📢 City Thameslink will temporarily close from 17 May to late December 2027 while all 10 escalators at the station are replaced. When it reopens, customers will benefit from modern, more reliable escalators. ℹ️ More information, including travel advice 👇 thameslinkrailway.com/servic…

The third, bought to replace the brightest one when he died, was somewhere inbetween and HU’s mother later had two girl piggies who had a similar dynamic but closer to the median
I am unsure if any studies have been done on guinea pig intelligence. HU had several guinea pigs as a nipper, and of his first two, who were siblings, one felt genuinely like 'that's a person in there' and the other was adorable but, essentially, a potato

Spoke with a candidate last week: Did a full AI interview. At the end the hiring manager popped on and goes I watched the whole thing love your experience. Candidate, "if you were watching why wouldnt you just talk to me?" The HM had no answer. He withdrew

would caution reading too much into this as it applies to the AI industry generally but it's pretty funny how Google forced Gemini on every single user and then it appears to have fucked their core business
Breaking news: Alphabet shares tumbled 13% on Thursday after the Google owner revealed that 'AI mode' searches were threatening profits at its core advertising business. ft.trib.al/Qu1i9dx
