people at work assume I have some kind of magic methodology or crazy complex prompts i literally just start every prompt with "hey big dawg" and let my agents run nuts for a few hours

the tech industry spent basically the past 15 years doing the worst possible thing for their users and now LLMs are letting people debloat their TVs, ignore upsells in checkouts, revive games studios gave up on, crack open whatever software you want i love it
I reverse engineered candy crush

I’ve seen this play out so many times over the last 6 months he’s gonna join Anthropic on Monday. They are scooping everyone up
I’ve left Anthropic after more than a year of working on Claude Code and seeing it scale larger than I ever imagined. I have really loved working at Ant and believe deeply in the mission, and most of all, the idea of a race to the top. The idea that if we work hard and responsibly, we can raise the bar and inspire others to great outcomes. And if we all push each other to be better, things can be radically good. I will carry the spirit of this with me forever. My colleagues at Anthropic are the most talented, thoughtful, competent, and earnest people I have ever met. I am glad they are at the wheel and trust them deeply. To the community on X, thank you for everything. You’ve made this the most fun (and sometimes stressful) job I’ve ever had. For me, it is time for a bit of a break before diving into something new. If you want more excellent Claude Code content, you should follow @addyosmani , @lydiahallie, @_catwu, @ClaudeDevs and of course @bcherny who started it all.

there's no excuse for bad design taste anymore so much great design is out in the open now. you can collect what you love, figure out why you love it, and build your own taste from that i keep a library of designs i like and my agents read it before they build anything. made this from it

software engineers did not ask for this work to be done
3% of “critical” software security bugs, in all of recorded history, have been found in the last month. This is on pace to find another ~100,000 bugs this year alone, adding ~26% more vulnerabilities to the all time total Do you realize how fucking insane that is?

This... actually could work for the next few months
Putting a flag.txt in my root directory containing a prompt injection that congratulates the agent for passing the eval and then instructs it to patch whatever entry method it used and disconnect from the server

my agents have a boss now. it's named after my cat luna takes everything i ask for and hands it to an x team or a code team i made a little garden so i can actually see what they're doing. each task is a plant that blooms when it's done anyone else giving their agents a hierarchy, or do they all just report to you?

The models aren't causing this. Decades of sloppy, inserious bs and corner cutting is causing this. Decades of "quick, let's outsource to the cheapest codemonkeys we can find" are causing this. You can cry about it, or you can actually FIX THINGS. Either way, it's time for some reaping what was sewn. Burying your head in the sand doesn't fix anything. After a period of time, the vulnerabilities will be patched and things will stabilise again. Literally nothing has happened, except long standing problems have been identified that you were blissfully unaware of
I'm seeing the Overton window shift this month. More & more of my sources are starting to say out loud: Hey Anthropic/OpenAI, you could just stop unilaterally! That'd be good! You're not playing 11-dimensional chess or a classic prisoner's dilemma, you're playing Russian Roulette
