For more than a decade, the United States has been dependent on foreign technology and has lacked a domestic drone component ecosystem. This financing would allow us to build the components necessary for a thriving, sovereign dual-use drone industry and help to secure our nation's industrial future.
We at @PDW_ai are so honored to serve this important mission. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The @DeptofWar’s Office of Strategic Capital announced an $820 million conditional loan commitment with Performance Drone Works (@PDW_ai) to expand domestic manufacturing for critical drone components.
This financing will establish a new, high-volume source of domestically manufactured components for Group 1 and Group 2 unmanned aircraft, strengthening the U.S. drone industrial base and addressing critical supply chain bottlenecks.
ACHIEVING AMERICAN DRONE DOMINANCE
UPDATE: Specific mitigation guidance for the recently identified PHP critical vulnerabilities is now available. Secure your servers today. Guidance and technical steps here: nsa.gov/Press-Room/Press-Rel…
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

this week is going to be remembered as a particularly ugly one for cybersecurity.
litellm, opencode, emudhra, critical php vulnerabilities, and now railway.
the sheer amount of infrastructure being targeted lately is genuinely concerning. and i don’t think things are about to get quieter.
After today cyber security spending will increase exponentially.
AI giveth.
AI taketh away.
That being said, I’ll spend millions more on security if it means millions of people are cured of cancer.

The strongest tailwind I see in tech, and the one I have the highest conviction in, is cybersecurity.
Every new AI tool gives attackers another way in. With each new hugging face-like incident that becomes almost a daily occurrence, companies will be under enormous pressure to try to mitigate the possibility of rogue agents.
Shareholders will demand it.
Lawyers will necessitate it.
Cybersecurity already represents about 10.9% of IT spending, according to the latest IANS and Artico benchmark. Gartner forecasts that spending on tools to secure AI will grow 68.7% next year, from about $2.8 billion to $4.8 billion, then reach $7.7 billion in 2028.
That’s a demand curve I’m paying attention to.
Thank me later.

Making sure everyone is tracking the situation and taking steps to mitigate.
Two critical vulnerabilities have been identified in PHP, a widely used programming language that powers websites and web applications. These vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) could allow malicious cyber actors to remotely execute code in PHP core, potentially compromising sensitive data and networks.
The FBI urges organizations to take the following steps now:
➡️ If an immediate update is not feasible it is recommended that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated.
➡️ Immediately update affected PHP installations following the guidance on php.net. Inventory where PHP runs in your environment, prioritizing internet-facing systems and vendor products that bundle PHP.
➡️ Monitor web servers for suspicious activity, including PHP processes unexpectedly launching command shells or downloading files. Ensure appropriate process-monitoring capabilities are in place to help identify potential exploitation.
➡️ If you find signs of compromise, isolate affected systems, preserve your web server and PHP logs, and report it to your local FBI field office or ic3.gov. Those reports help us identify the actors involved and warn other organizations before they become victims.
For the latest information, follow PHP’s announcement on php.net, CERT-EU Security Advisory 2026-018, and CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.

Maritime operators need airpower that can launch, recover, and keep pace with the mission.
Last week, PDW and Waiv Robotics conducted initial static integration testing of the C100 with Waiv’s WR-15 UAV launch-and-recovery platform. The collaboration addresses a persistent challenge: safely recovering larger unmanned aircraft aboard moving vessels.
The goal is to put organic UAS capability aboard @USnavy, @USCG, and unmanned surface vessels without relying on traditional aviation infrastructure. Next steps include integration refinements and dynamic underway testing to validate performance in real-world maritime conditions.
For operators, the objective is clear: extend their reach, deliver persistent ISR, and reduce risk to personnel.
Decisive airpower in the hands of every operator.

Reliable performance of an autonomous system is a key part of mission success in modern combat.
In a new compilation of strike footage, @thefourthlawai’s autonomous systems, integrated into drones from a popular manufacturer, are used against moving targets: ATVs and vehicles carrying infantry.
Different videos, similar scenarios. The operator activates the TFL-1 module, which locks onto the target and takes control of the drone. On approach, the marker changes color: the neural network has recognized the target type. Then comes the autonomous terminal approach and the hit.
Autonomy in action.
The C100 is earning its place in @USArmy Aviation history while helping shape what comes next.
Built to adapt and proven in Soldiers’ hands, the C100 has quickly established its operational value and place of recognition among mission-enabling military aircraft.
The C100 continues to be fielded with Army units around the world, putting reconnaissance, communications and other critical mission capabilities in operators’ hands through one modular aircraft. That field experience drives continuous improvement, with operator feedback from real-world missions helping PDW refine performance, integrate new capabilities and keep the aircraft evolving with the force.
This Saturday, October 24, the Army Aviation Museum will unveil a C100 as its newest display, connecting the Army’s aviation heritage with the adaptable systems supporting its formations today.
See it at the Models & Machines show and Training Support Facility Open House, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., at Fort Rucker, Alabama.

HEARTBREAKING UPDATE: THE AIRMAN WHO FELL TO HIS DEATH AT THE UTSA FOOTBALL GAME LEAVES BEHIND A WIFE AND TWO YOUNG BOYS.
We now know the identity of the U.S. Air Force member who tragically fell approximately 150 feet during a military rappelling demonstration at the Alamodome in San Antonio on October 17th.
His name was Technical Sergeant Ian Patterson, a decorated Air Force veteran with 15 years of service.
Ian was participating in a pregame demonstration honoring our military before the UTSA - Navy football game when something went terribly wrong. He descended at a dangerously high speed and struck the field in front of thousands of spectators.
He was rushed to the hospital but tragically did not survive.
Ian was a husband to Niki and a father to two young boys.
Niki is a stay-at-home mother who homeschools their children. Ian was their primary financial provider.
Ian spent 15 years serving our country. He served in Korea, Colorado, and Germany, and was recognized as the Air Force Special Warfare Enlisted Instructor of the Year in 2022.
A GoFundMe has been established to help Niki relocate closer to family, provide for her children, and handle potential legal expenses.
Please pray for Niki and these two little boys.
Our military families sacrifice more than most people will ever understand.
🇺🇸 Rest in peace, Technical Sergeant Ian Patterson. Thank you for your service.

In a U.S. Army war game in Germany, Ukrainian drone pilots playing the enemy caused about 70% of an American tank brigade’s losses in the first three days. Three days later, that figure was under 30%.

The @USCG recently visited PDW’s Drone Factory 01 to see firsthand how we’re building for operations at the tactical edge and to receive hands-on training with the C100.
We were proud to spend time with the Coast Guard team discussing the operational challenges they face across maritime environments and how technology might extend its reach. During training on the C100, we demonstrated how autonomous systems can give operators greater awareness, flexibility, and decision advantage.
Thank you to the Coast Guard team for the visit and its commitment to advancing operator capability.

An absolutely incredible rescue story!
For the first time in history, a wounded Ukrainian soldier has been evacuated from the frontline by an aerial drone.
Enemy drones overhead. Mined terrain. No safe way out.
Warriors of Ukraine’s 92nd Assault Brigade modified a heavy hexacopter to rescue their comrade.
When a ground evacuation was impossible, Ukrainian ingenuity made the impossible possible.
Glory to Ukraine’s Defenders!

The use of drones with autonomy in Ukraine has grown tenfold over the past six months. Russia is also actively testing new autonomous systems.
Where are these technologies headed? Can AI terminal guidance be fooled with decoys? And why are Western defense companies still lagging behind Ukrainian ones?
Maksym Savanevskyi, VP of Communications and Marketing at @thefourthlawai, discussed this and much more in an interview with @lb_ua.
Every time the media runs a a video montage of France literally burning, and underneath a caption calling the people doing it “protestors” instead of rioters, I wonder:
Whose feelings are we protecting?

Agentic obliteration is coming.
Entire markets were reorganized around the internet in the early 2000s. Tower Records, Blockbuster, and the Yellow Pages fell, and iTunes, Netflix, and Google took their place, taking advantage of cheap distribution.
It happened again in the 2010s around cloud and mobile. BlackBerry, Kodak, and taxis fell, and the iPhone, Instagram, and Uber took their place, taking advantage of a computer in everyone’s pocket.
Now it’s going to happen with agents. Incumbents can’t simply tear down their UIs and business models to pivot. Public shareholders won’t allow it. Access to intelligence has been democratized, and categories that have historically monetized gatekept institutional knowledge will be most susceptible.
Law is obviously at risk (Harvey and Legora are exploding). Medicine will also change (Doctronic is already renewing prescriptions in Utah). And personal finance will be equally challenged.
Should be an interesting decade.
