The entire premise of Hatsunia is about being the futuristic country people expected Japan to be. iiwiki.us/wiki/Hatsunia
Japan is not futuristic Japan is a fossil stuck in 1990 99% of Westerners still don't get this Futuristic Asia is China, Korea, Vietnam, etc No Asian rates Japan for modernity at all

Hatsunia represents an optimistic counterpart to the trope of โ€œJapan as a dystopian Cyberpunk superpowerโ€ and tech doomerism in general. So it is inspired by aesthetics like Cyberprep and Frutiger Aero, which emphasize "the positives of technological advancement."

October 21, 2015 in Back to the Future Part II (1989) was intended to be a subversion of dark and gritty cyberpunk media like Blade Runner. But it was still based on the 1980s idea that Japan would become an economic superpower (the fear of which being known as โ€œJapan-bashingโ€).

An alternate history in which India was never partitioned, if it could be kept stable with decentralized regional autonomy and protections for religious minorities, could have mitigated the rise of the Taliban and al-Qaeda and prevented 9/11.

I am working on tracing Hatsunia's terrain and rivers (made using GIMP and the Wilbur erosion simulation software) into a vector format in Inkscape. It is taking a long time because of the high level of detail.

The base of the International Space Elevator in Ace Combat 7 and 8 resembles the X-Seed 4000, a proposed megatall arcology for Tokyo, Japan that would have been taller than Mt. Fuji.

Belka is supposed to be Ace Combat's analogue of WWII Germany, but there are some similarities to Russia. Both lost influence in the 1990s, and both have revanchists who sow divisions in other countries. While Yuktobania represents the idea of US-Soviet/Russian reconcilation.

What deradicalized me was seeing the unreasonable extremes on both the left and the right. Both feed off each other in a vicious cycle, as I saw back in 2020.
I donโ€™t trust the โ€œburn everything downโ€ far left or the โ€œget rid of all immigrantsโ€ far right.

Mobius 1 has my favorite emblem in the Ace Combat series. I like the color and the futuristic vibes it gives off, and how it's based on the mathematical concept of a one-sided surface.
The first time I ever played Ace Combat was a demo of Ace Combat 6 at a Gamestop in 2007. I didn't understand how to play at the time and just tried to dodge missiles. Then in 2013, I got a PS2 to play Ace Combat 4, 5, and later Zero. I've been a fan ever since.
