It's unbelievable how they captured the spirit of the original trilogy. The way the character moves from the outskirts of town, to a farmhouse, to the city streets and alleys, the sewers, and winds up in a lab while finding guns and being chased by a monster is just like a game.

Wrong, faggot, I'm a record collector and audiophile. It makes sense as a term because it implies that all that was done was to create the files was to drop the needle and run the recording software. Wikipedia says it's synonymous with "vinyl rip," which I don't fully agree with.
