ā€œJohn Cleese is not a terrorist!
The former Monty Python star’s criticism of Islam is a free-speech matter, not one for government intrusion.ā€ By @andrewdoyle_com @JohnCleese has every right to be critical of Islam, if he wishes to be. I’m genuinely frightened by the direction the UK has gone. washingtonpost.com/opinions/…

American an European friends, I’m so ashamed, but you need to see what France has become. Don’t make the same mistakes we did. The only peaceful solution is to send them back to their countries of origin they love so much. We cannot coexist. It will be them, or us.

Meet Adriana Vink, Cornell Class of 2027. Watch as Vink leads Hasan Piker, who said America "deserved 9/11" and denied the Hamas-led sexual violence of 10/7, in a "Free Palestine" chant on campus earlier this week. Future employers, take note. Is she someone you want representing your organization?

You can perfectly understand the case of the Cornell 7, and the reaction to it, once you understand that feminists fundamentally reject the idea that women can ever be truly responsible for any wrong doing of any kind. Which is why, when there’s a disgusting drug and alcohol fueled orgy where everyone involved is inebriated, the woman is somehow automatically the victim and the men are somehow automatically responsible. On normal logic, that makes no sense. If alcohol removes consent, then the drunk men have just as valid a claim to being raped as the drunk woman. But feminists aren’t using normal logic. They’re using feminist logic. Which, again, starts with the presupposition that women by definition cannot truly be at fault at all for anything ever. That is simply a brute fact of the universe, in their view. They don’t have to defend it, and don’t, and can’t.

Letitia James doesn't get to call 7 men at Cornell guilty before her investigation even starts. That's not justice. That's a verdict looking for evidence. She doesn't know sh*t yet. Nobody does. That's what the investigation is for.

The evidence in the Cornell 7 case demonstrates clearly that Jane Doe engaged in promiscuous and disgusting sexual behavior (as did the men), was embarrassed by it, and then changed her story to allege rape. That’s not now rape law works. But now the NY governor is unleashing mob justice on the men.

What AOC did here is despicable and pathetic even for her. it's a joke to think you posture as some sort of a national leader while you go around definitively, publicly proclaiming individuals guilty of horrific crimes before they've ever been charged with, let alone convicted of, those crimes, especially when most evidence is unknown and, of what is known, there's so much evidence casting doubt on the accusations. AOC never heard of these 7 Cornell students until like 6 seconds ago, but now definitively decree they're ALL "gang rapists." But worse is that AOC lies here repeatedly, making claims that even the alleged victim denies. Nobody "lured her" into the frat house. She went there voluntarily and showed up drunk. She voluntarily used drugs and had sex with at least the first three men if not all. She wrote one of those students an email afterward saying how nothing they did was criminal and how much fun she had having sex with the two of them and hoped to do it again. She then asked for an invitation to another party at this same frat house 8 days later, and became enraged for the first time when the frat president said it was best if she didn't come. Nobody in the group chat said she was "incapacitated" as AOC alleged. None of this means that there was no rape. It means that minimally responsible, ethical people refrain from pronouncing guilt (or innocence) until they know what they're fucking talking about and there are at least charges filed. None of that applies to AOC.
AOC makes WILD claims on Cornell 7: ā€œSeven men drugged and gang raped a 20-year-old woman. They lured her into a frat house, drugged her with ketamine, and took turns gang raping her for seven hours.ā€

The statement given by Jane Doe in 2024 states that she voluntarily used drugs, she engaged in consensual sex, and snapchat messages from Jane to the accused men have been revealed in which she doesn't blame or accuse them of wrongdoing. tompkinscountyny.gov/News-articles/… cbsnews.com/news/text-mess…

Terrible to see all these ambassadors to the UN walk out on Israel. Not nearly as many walked out on Iran yesterday — even after they machine gunned 40,000 of their own people.

MUST WATCH: Democratic Rep. @NoahArbit just tripled down on his Jewish pride and his progressive values on the Michigan state House floor. We are so proud of Noah for standing up for our community and speaking the truth about who we are as Zionist Jews. Watch Noah's speech, share it with your friends and family, and then take action by signing our petition to tell our leaders that respect for our identity is nonnegotiable.

I really hate this genre of tweet because its purpose is to create cynicism about people who actually defend free speech. And this is a particularly funny example. Did Mehdi actually read the report? The ACLU/Amnesty report repeatedly cites my organization, @TheFIREorg, and credits us for defending pro-Palestinian students, professors, and protesters. It cites our work involving Tulane, Brandeis, the University of Florida, Texas Tech, Penn, and our First Amendment briefs in major litigation. We were involved with practically all of the incidents in someway. And FIRE is hardly alone. @CatoInstitute, @EFF, @PENamerica, Knight, @NCAC, the @rcfp, @Rutherford_Inst, the First Amendment Lawyers Association, and others have been fighting these battles too. So where are the ā€œfree speech warriorsā€? They’re in the report. They’re in the footnotes. They’re writing the letters and filing the briefs. And on cancel culture, Mehdi has actually acknowledged that people sometimes get wrongly fired and self-censor. Where we disagreed was that he dismissed concern about left-wing cancel culture as largely a ā€œmoral panic,ā€ while correctly pointing out that there was also a serious threat from the right. The left-wing ā€œmoral panicā€ claim was partisan nonsense. The evidence of cancellation from the left was overwhelming. But the threat from the right was real too. If you actually care about free speech, the answer is not to pick your preferred censor. It is to stand up to both. We did. @RIKKISCHLOTT and I wrote an entire book about it, The Canceling of the American Mind. We took on cancel culture from the left AND the right: amazon.com/dp/1668019140
Where are the free speech warriors? The anti cancel culture brigade? The intellectual dark web folks?

The ACLU/Amnesty report this post refers to cites FIRE for defending pro-Palestine speech, including a Texas Tech professor reinstated after FIRE’s letter and Penn protesters. The report itself is a result of the work done by the people Mehdi claims are absent. aclu.org/press-releases…

Honored to have my research mentioned by @netanyahu in his address to the UNGA. Israel has in fact implemented more civilian harm mitigation measures (many that no nation has ever even imagined/attemped) than any military in history. The other facts in his speech were also spot on. Israel has not only implemented extraordinary precautions in urban warfare to prevent civilian harm while Hamas has done everything it can to increase civilian harm, there is no genocide, actually the opposite of genocide in Gaza, Israel provided tons of food, water, medical supplies, facilitated immunizations for the entire populations, field hospitals, built new water lines, electricity, got patients to hospitals outside of Gaza, and much more.

The same reason that Queers for Palestine activists don a Palestinian flag. The same reason that climate charlatans, such as the Goblin Greta, wear keffiyehs. The same reason that radical feminists who are fighting the patriarchy are pro-Hamas. Parasitized suicidal empathy creates all of these commonalities, @BillAckman.
