I don’t have a law degree. I never even went to college. I didn’t speak english until I was 17 years old. Today, I settled 6 MLB salary arbitration cases on my own for the first time. If you ever have doubts about pursuing something in life, watch this clip.

I'm definitely not telling you that you don't understand how it works cause obviously as agent you know the working more than most... But I do think it should be noted Montas was 30 when he reached unrestricted free agency. That's younger than many NBA/NFL players are...

show me one player a team has controlled for 14 years that didn’t sign a contract extension! You are wrong. Is it on purpose or do you just not understand how it works

They don’t control them for 6 years. After drafting them, they control them for up to 14 YEARS!!! It takes 5 years to be rule 5 elegible, and get on the 40-man roster. After that, the club can option you down to the minors for 3 years. After that, they control you for 6 years. This is the only profession in this country where you don’t get to pick where you wanna work, and then that employer controls you with no saying for up to 14 years. So, after those 14 years are over, they want to cap their earnings. GTFO.
Dear Salary Cap Cultists But wait there’s more! The owners OWN players for six years in baseball! That is SIX YEARS that players get no say in what they make or where they play! Six years!! Stop with the but it’s not fair BS! If anything isn’t fair it’s the fact that players are drafted and owned for SIX FREAKING YEARS!!! Here is @IamTrevorMay saying it much better than I can! Enjoy

Why did he get so mad?
Hal Steinbrenner is in favor of a salary cap it appears. "I helped craft the proposals that we have given at the bargaining table, and I support those proposals in their entirety. That should answer your question."

If season ended today, 3/4 teams getting a bye are low payroll teams. Sure, we need a salary cap for “cOmPetiTiVe bALaNcE” God, I hope we get a Brewers-Rays World Series.
Ugh, classic Dodgers, taking advantage again of not getting a bye. Completely unfair. THIS is why we need a salary cap in baseball

José Ramírez (center, Burberry shirt) is with Junior Caminero (left), his wife Rosedith Almonte, and their three kids. The photo highlights the mentor-mentee bond their shared agent Rafa Nieves has noted since 2023.

I asked Jose why he was laughing here, and he said he knew the pitch coming was a changeup and Adell could rollover, and hit a ground ball to the left side of the infield, so he took off to 3rd hoping he would pull Junior and Walls to the bases and open a hole in the infield 🥴
José Ramirez laughing to the plate. He’s playing in another dimension like nobody’s seen if that’s possible. Look out!

I introduced Junior to Jose in 2023, took this picture of them, and asked Jose to mentor him. Couldn’t be more proud 🙌🏼

Quincy, I almost always agree with you but not here. Continuing to use an underperforming player in a pennant race because he’s a good guy and used to be great? That’s nostalgia, not competitive sports. At the very least, he needs to be dropped down in the batting order.
