I pay for a few AI subscriptions, and I kept forgetting where I’d asked something. Was that answer in Claude? ChatGPT? My local model? I’d lose ten minutes hunting for it.
So I built myself a small Mac app to fix that. It’s called Junction.
What it does:
🔹 One window, many AIs. Type your question once and send it to Claude, ChatGPT, your local models in LM Studio, or several at once to compare the answers side by side.
🔹 One searchable history. Every conversation, from every service, is stored on your Mac and searchable in one place. No more “where did I ask that?”
🔹 Uses what you already have. It works through each provider’s official tools, signed in with your own accounts, plus any models you run locally.
🔹 Auto mode (experimental). It can pick the service you usually use for that topic, and send quick questions to your local model.
🔹 Images and PDFs. Attach them and they go to whichever services can read them.
I’m not shipping it as an app. Instead, I wrote it up as a recipe you can hand to a coding agent like Claude Code. The agent checks which AI tools you have, asks which ones you want, and builds Junction for you on your own Mac:
