I do not believe God is looking for the perfect or the equipped, I believe He is looking for the willing.
He is looking for those willing to say yes and make that choice to live the mission God has for them!

I believe one of the greatest lies Satan ever told was convincing the world that he doesn't exist. The second? Convincing us that our lives don't have worth, but they do.
Your life counts & so does mine. God has given you a unique purpose & mission, and He makes it possible!

I’m not much of a New Year’s resolution person but I do thoroughly believe in planning and preparing to live in pursuit of God & Christlikeness, in pursuit of love, faith & joy in a coming year. Our natural default is to sow to the flesh. We won’t sow to the Spirit by accident.

God knows that without risk we can't grow. He didn't promise us a safe life, but said He would give us a dangerous, engaged and courageous one if we'll take Him at his word.

Don’t be lazy and make assumptions about people. Ask about their stories. Then listen. Genuinely listen.
Be humble. Be teachable.
Be human. Be a good neighbor.
Remember, you can’t love your neighbors if you don’t know your neighbors.

To pray, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done,” is more a praise than a plea. It’s to already smell the grass of the new earth, longing with joy and living with hope. In God’s time, and by his “dime,” all things will be new, evil gone, tears wiped.

i keep hearing "we need to just love." "jesus gave grace". be careful not to confuse grace with tolerance. tolerance is an imposter of grace. why? bc grace doesn't put up, it holds up. romans 6:1-3. you can't go to jesus and say i want your grace but i don't want your standard.

Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Phil. 4:5 – Our “gentleness,” not our rightness, uptightness, “snarkiness,” or fearfulness. Jesus is near—in us, among us, and coming for us. Come Lord Jesus!

All this destruction & trauma will be over. Both Testaments preach this eschatological hope. One day this world will pass away & there will be, Dear Loved of God, a new heaven & a new earth & God’s dwelling will be with us & ours with Him.And grief, crying & pain will be no more.

Isaiah 11 today. Even in the first 39 chapters themed by prophecies of judgment, devastation and inevitable captivity for the ancient people of God over their unwillingness to repent, there are these glimpses of a future so gorgeous and unfathomable, they take your breath away.->

The joy of the Lord is our strength; the grace of God is our sufficiency; the righteousness of Jesus is our peace; the Father of Jesus is our Father; the Spirit of God is our comforter; the sovereignty of God is our sanity. All this bodes well for today!

Beloved Brothers @dpcassidyC3 @scottsauls @pastorjimtvc @rayortlund I join you in lamenting the injustices in our nation, abandoning ourselves to the God of our salvation, and trusting in the hope of the Gospel. In each of our contexts, may we lead and love, humbly & courageously
