Three things I learned during the Gaza genocide: silence is a choice, empathy has borders, and the world will watch you die if your death doesn’t fit their narrative. I learned that aid is negotiable, but bombs are punctual. That hashtags trend faster than ambulances, and children can vanish without shaking the global conscience. I learned that surviving becomes suspicious, and mourning must be filtered for public approval. But most of all, I learned that no matter how loud we scream, the world only hears what it wants to believe.

Multiple testimonies from released prisoners have confirmed either hearing or seeing Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya in Sde Teiman prison. Yahya Zaqqout, Alaa Abu Banat, Ahmad Saleem, who were all abducted at a checkpoint while being forcibly displaced from Beit Lahia to Gaza City have all confirmed this information. All of them were released yesterday to the European Hospital in central Gaza through the Karam Abu Salem crossing.
Sde Teiman is known for its extremely brutal treatment and torture. We demand the release of Dr. Hussam and all Palestinian the hostages immediately!

Earlier this year, @energyembargoforpalestine was successful in pressuring Colombia to halt shipments of coal to Israel, which comprised 50% of their total supply. Their next action is to pressure the Turkish and Azeri governments to follow international law and halt the flow of oil to Israel.

Help by reposting: Last night, the people of North Gaza endured a night of relentless bombardment and shelling, followed by a surprise incursion by Israeli forces into Jabalia. This morning, leaflets were dropped from the skies, urging people to evacuate immediately. However, the majority of families have decided to remain in their homes, resolute in the face of escalating threats. Despite the dangers, our team pressed forward with our daily mission of delivering vital aid to these communities.
Today, we visited the devastated Al-Shujaiyah neighborhood, where 100 trays of rice and chickpeas were distributed to families who have chosen to stay in their homes, standing firm in the face of the war machine. As jets roared overhead, we ensured that those who are still in the neighborhood received much-needed nourishment. We also went over to east al-Tufah neighborhood and delivered 6000 liters of fresh water early in the morning.

Thanks for your comment: Re-read what I wrote re: just giving a vote and some coin away without asking for anything in return. This isn’t a controversial take but it’s become so. I also suggest speaking to Palestinians/Muslims/Arabs in your community about their plans & mood.
Lastly, I’ve seen too many slaughtered babies over nine months to not be all or nothing. My morality doesn’t allow me to nuance genocide & who pays for it. My own money goes towards killing my peoples.

Answering this because I’m very tired at how the American thought process just stops.
Harm reduction for who?
Harris is second in command in an administration that is funding and sponsoring a genocide that will have killed upwards of 186,000 Palestinians - mostly children. This isn’t including the absolute annihilation of all means of life-sustaining infrastructure that make simply living… possible.
Now, was Harris a lameduck VP and thus had no say in anything - in which case why is she a strong candidate for President? Or is she a strong political mind with agency who stood by & supported the policy of genocide? Which is it?
In this country we have seen violent & deadly Islamophobia/anti-Palestinian racism. We’ve seen people lose their lives & jobs for being anti-genocide, Muslim, Arab. We’ve seen every institution in this country fall lockstep in protecting a genocide against any and all critique — including universities.
No one thinks Trump is “good” or “better” for Palestinians but Democratic supporters are pushing this genocide further by doing absolutely nothing to demand an end to it by just handing over their votes and money because they’ve decided they’re ultimately fine with their culpability in genocide.
Trump did radical things wrt US policy on Israel/Palestine - Biden/Harris et al normalized those things and then made genocide the status quo.
You’re either fighting to end this genocide or you’re offering tired platitudes that privilege the lives of those funding the genocide over those being slaughtered.
