People wondering why Odin didn't just gather all 6 Infinity Stones himself are forgetting three massive MCU canon rules. Even during his bloodthirsty conqueror days with Hela, getting the Soul Stone on Vormir meant throwing either Hela or Frigga off a cliff. Stopping his conquest and locking a fake Gauntlet in his vault proves Vormir was the line he refused to cross. In Thor: The Dark World, Asgard literally had both the Space Stone and Reality Stone in the same building and instantly shipped the Reality Stone across the galaxy because keeping two Stones in one vault creates a single target for enemies to raid. Thanos waited in his chair for decades and only started Infinity War the exact year Odin died. Odin didn't need the Stones to stop Thanos. Being alive on the throne of Asgard was already enough! Putting all 6 Stones in one place doesn't prevent Infinity War, it just gives Thanos a one stop shop the second Odin passes away. #Marvel #MCU
