I’m tired… and some days I’m downright drowning due to the overwhelming feeling that I have to do more & more & more. I’m on my second flight of the day to get to Philly. You ask why Philly? Because the turnout there is critical to us winning PA in November! You see, some people are keyboard warriors & only know how to “work” online & then there are those of us who are trying to work online, on tv, on radio, on podcasts, in print, & IN THE STREETS! I had the honor of speaking at the Regional Conference social action luncheon in Austin for my sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. Listen y’all this is like family reunion time… but I wasn’t able to be in community with my amazing Sorors because, well, duty calls. I’m committed to giving my all! We can choose compassion over convictions (felony that is), courage over cons, and common sense over clown acts. There’s a gospel song by James Cleveland “I don’t feel no ways tired.” While I truly am, the song is about reflection upon progress & acknowledging that the Lord didn’t bring us this far to leave us. I’m believing this & this is why I will continue to pound the pavement & do my part to engage voters. My question is, will you join me? My handle says jasmine for US.. we thought it through when we chose it. It wasn’t your traditional handle or website. We played on the dual meaning of US! It’s gonna take all of us to get back to the business of progress!
