New post: copyright limits copies, not inspection. @OpenRecordsPA let PHL airport redact infrastructure figures in a PFAS request, but copyrighted figures that aren't exempt must be offered for inspection. Seen this argument? rtkldecisions.com/oor-bumper… #RTKL

Draft Home Rule Charter text stays closed as a draft bill, but emails deliberating it sent to the full committee quorum are public. Good contrast with Stine. @OpenRecordsPA Petersen v. Tredyffrin Twp rtkldecisions.com/oor-peters…

Shepherd didn't kill the deliberative exemption. OOR upheld withholding Governor's Office emails on a draft utility rate letter as real policymaking, and counsel emails stayed privileged. @OpenRecordsPA Bonn v. Gov's Office openrecords.pa.gov/Appeals/D…

Replying to @RepFrankBurns
@RepFrankBurns why do you block people on your official Facebook page ? You should start unblocking people. And keep your eyes open for records requests.

This is sad because it took a law for people to understand how important this is. Kudos to the democrats.
Recess is now the law in Pennsylvania for kids, grades K-5. Pass it on.

I knew @RepFrankBurns was a joke when he attacked me for asking him a question about blocking people from his social media account. The people in Johnstown are doomed with this leadership. This is @GovernorShapiro's Pennsylvania.

NEW: A House Judiciary report just dropped screenshots of ActBlue's internal Slack messages. They show staff knowingly waved through foreign donations—using "verification" methods you won't believe. Thread 🧵👇

The DOJ is recommending removing the federal ban on handgun sales for 18-20 year olds. Section 922(b)(1) and (c)(1) of title 18, U.S. Code, is unconstitutional as applied to young adults between eighteen and twenty who seek to purchase handguns. The provision prevents young adults, who are members of “the people” to whom the Second Amendment applies, from owning “arms” in common use for self-defense. This places the burden on the government to show that the restrictions are consistent with the Nation’s tradition of firearm regulation, which it cannot do. justice.gov/olc/media/146181…

Remember the socialists argument that emergency services and utilities are socialism? So far Portage lost its ambulance service, had to merge its fire department, and the Water authority can't maintain the infrastructure even with forcing most residents onto their services.

I want to move to Madisonville, LA because the people who vote for him have to be my kind of people.
The Graham Platner wing of the Democratic Party is the product of 50 years of high school civics being taught by football coaches. At first, I thought they were just misinformed. Now I realize they’re serious—serious as an aneurysm.

Nobody ever said there is an expectation of privacy in public. We have an expectation that the government will not violate our 4th Amendment right to be secure in our person and things. Im not understanding how hard this is to understand?
I'm not for cameras in private homes by the government, that isn't Constitutional. I'm not understanding how hard this is to understand -- there is no expectation of privacy when you are in public.

In other words if nothing bad happens to him while hes completely innocent, screw all the people who are harassed and retaliated against. He probably has the money and lawyers to fight it.
Have whatever opinion you like. Mine: 1. There is zero legal expectation of privacy in public. 2. There have been license plate readers and cameras for quite some time in many places in Western Pa - this isn't new. I'm law abiding, so I'm fine with all this.

I remember being so nieve once. He's not thinking about it the correct way. This is one thing I wholeheartedly disagree with him on.
Flock cameras have a much greater chance -- enormously greater -- of solving a crime where you were the victim than being involved in anything nefarious and harming you. Especially if you are law-abiding. All data supports this and it is overwhelming.

This is how Rep. Frank Burns treats citizens in Cambria County Pennsylvania. Thankfully Rep. Rigby represents Portage and has a lot more class. Why doesn't Burns ignore questions if he doesn't want to answer them? He should be embarrassed.

Just because you may have nothing to hide, doesn't mean you have nothing to lose. Say no to government surveillance and data collection. @therealDeFlock

Portage borough is relying on a solicitor who did not know she wasn't allowed to move our lawsuit to federal court. BASIC procedure! But the borough is expecting her to write or review policy to know how to protect our Constitutional rights. The community doesn't want Flock cameras and I don't believe the borough or police chief are responsible enough to have it.
