Rocket Lab's bar for a first flight is pretty simple:
"I don't believe in the, 'We'll collect good data today, but it blew up just off the pad or halfway up.' That's not success for us. Success is reaching orbit.
It's not common for a new vehicle architecture to reach orbit in the first flight, but that is certainly our objective.
You won't see us minimizing some qualifier about us just clearing the pad and claiming success.β

Rocket Lab has built one hell of a moat.

Rocket Lab is about to do something the broader public is not talking about...
Electron is on pace to hit 100 launches FASTER than Falcon 9 did.
This little rocket company founded in New Zealand is outpacing SpaceX's early years.
And launch #100 is weeks away.

Good Saturday Morning!
An FAA NOTAM has been issued for a 135 ft crane at the lagoon this Monday, Oct 26, from 7 AM to 3 PM ET. Looks like Monday could be the big day!
The truck and blue transport trailer have been moved to the Complex. One of the metal structures seen in the yard recently has been loaded onto the trailer.

Filing shows the Navy topped up Iridium's sole-source Dahlgren R&D contract by $21K in July (Filing lags ~90 days so just recently made public).

$IRDM / $RKLB: A new federal filing shows the U.S. Navy added funding in July to its sole-source research contract with Iridium.
The contract is with Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren, the Navy's weapons and combat systems lab. It covers experimental defense R&D on Iridium satellite communications, plus satellite and hardware support. The Navy chose Iridium as the only company that could do the work, with no bidding.
The contract has been extended through May 2027, with an option to run into 2028.

Crews were working today in preparation for moving hardware to Wallops. A crane is now on-site at the lagoon and the blue transport trailer has been hooked to the truck.
Given the pace of work, it didn't seem like they would be loading anything today. I'll be checking back over the next few days.
While in the area, I did see work being done on the thrust module stand and caught some interesting hardware moving from one area of the facility to another.
