Notre Dame has played 18 ranked opponents in the regular season since the start of 2022 (the Freeman era).
That's more than Georgia (17), Ohio State (15), Miami (10), Indiana (10), BYU (10), Texas Tech (14), etc. Comparable with Alabama (21), Texas (20), etc.

After more than a decade, I still not understand the compulsion to criticize Trump for stuff he didn’t say or do, given the wealth of criticizable things he says and does.

I’m not sure how or why this started, but the “I can’t understand English and don’t know anything about the world” form of arguing is bizarre.
How can you convince anyone of anything if your argument rests of being a fool?

Spare me your wounded ego diatribe, bro. Where’s the “reactive” assumption? You aren’t the arbiter of absurd. You’re a Twitter nobody.

I have been pretty critical of Trump on Iran, but this is a shamefully dishonest mischaracterization of what he said, which is that he does not want that to happen, and that he thinks that higher gas prices are worth it to ensure that it doesn't. teapawt.org/HQNewsNow/status/21072…

Is legacy media having a spasm about how threats to a juror represent an attack on the jury system and rule of law?
Didn’t think so.

Those same people are telling you to feel sorry for a mother who strangled her children, one-by-one, for several minutes said that a 32 old mom deserved to die because she worked a midlevel corporate job at Bank of America. This is the *mainstream* of the Democrat party.

I actually understand why Democrat leaders didn't take our stories seriously when the Times reported them in June but are taking them seriously now.
It was by design.
The line most shared from the piece was the claim that the Times “could not corroborate” my story despite talking to two of my friends.
I gave them the contact information for five friends.
They called the two who I clarified would not know about the abuse but would be able to affirm our relationship timeline, events, etc.
They simply did not call the other three.
I also gave them the names of all my former roommates who remembered him stalking our row house (which was about 5 houses down from his) and waiting for me to return. I gave them screenshots of messages between these roommates and I discussing it.
I gave them the names of other men I dated who might have remembered him following us around the hill and showing up on my stoop after we walked home from dates to confront us. I gave them emails to my landlord urgently ending my lease and moving to an apartment across town and diary entries talking about it - all time marked.
I told them that during pre-marital counseling I had spoken to my ex-fiance about the abuse because I had to explain to him why I reacted with such terror any time he lost his temper. They said oh NO we don't need to bother HIM (or my priest). Besides, I had written about it in my diary in detail, they reassured.
As the weeks dragged on I stopped trying to give them evidence because the amount I had already given them seemed to overwhelm them and I thought it meant they clearly had more than enough to verify my every claim.
My friends might not have known the details of the abuse, but they affirmed that yes, I had told them that he was abusive—long before he ran for Senate.
Besides, they assured, my part in their reporting would be small. I thought my details would only serve to affirm Jenny and the other anonymous woman.
Jenny and I - having never met or spoken - both shared with these reporters terrifyingly similar details of intimate partner violence, coercive control, and cycles of abuse/love bombing. The third unnamed woman in the story did as well.
But tell me again how they “could not corroborate.”

They spent years telling us the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool had to look like a stagnant swamp because that was the price of being enlightened.
An Obama-era redesign turned it into a green, algae-choked mess that started blooming within a week of reopening. The official explanation from the National Park Service was delivered with perfect bureaucratic sincerity: “This is a direct consequence of the fact that this is a green project.” Another spokesperson added that “the conditions are pretty good for algae, once it gets in there.” It also leaked. And it smelled. These were treated as acceptable trade-offs, almost proof of moral seriousness.
The same people who designed buildings meant to dwarf human beings and make them feel small lectured everyone else about dignity and public space.
They replaced columns and ornament with Brutalist slabs and called the result progress. They let fountains sit broken and dry for decades, then acted shocked when the capital started feeling like a place people merely passed through rather than a place worth caring about.
Then Trump did the subversive thing. He looked at the reflecting pool and noticed the word “pool” in the name. Instead of convening another round of ecological theorists, he brought in people who actually fix pools. They sealed it, tinted the water blue, and ran it like a swimming pool. The algae vanished. The smell disappeared. The monuments stopped reflecting a swamp.
The absurdity isn’t just that it was broken for years. It’s that the people in charge had convinced themselves ... and tried to convince everyone else ... that fixing it would have been the extremist act.
All it took was refusing to treat basic maintenance as a political statement.

The media just isn’t a reliable source for accurate information and full context. The AP is the largest news wire service in the world.
The AP’s article on Spirit omits the Biden admin’s effort to block the merger with JetBlue.
Their article on the FIFA incident has a false headline, omits that the Israeli participant was an Arab, and omits that the Palestinian rep was a convicted terrorist who threw a grenade.
So how can anyone rely on such an organization for accurate information?
They can’t.
So they seek out other sources. Many of those sources are even worse, but the media’s constant omissions and misinformation caused this environment.
