This is beyond horrifying. Russia struck a railway station in Dnipro with a drone, killing 13 people who were simply waiting for their train. The drone operators could see the platform in real time. They could see the civilians standing there. They knew what they were targeting, and they struck anyway.

Yugoslav map of Britain & Ireland from the 1980s, with English place names amusingly rendered phonetically to reflect their pronunciation. Credit: Reddit user TheKingMonkey who explains the maps origins: "From a display on the wall of the ‘Museum of the 80s’ in Sarajevo, Bosnia. I’m not sure why I like the Serbo-Croat (or at least that’s what I assume it is) names for the cities as they look like they are almost phonetic attempts at English language pronunciations." Yes there's two Branko's who post a lot of retarded stuff about Ukraine and Russia of a very similar theme. Milanovic has somewhat of a legitimate background, having had an actual career, whilst Marcetic is your dime-a-dozen issue lowlife, self-declared "journalist"...
wait a minute... there's TWO of them?

BREAKING: Ukraine has carried out the world’s first medical evacuation of a human via a drone from the battlefield the 30th mechanised brigade of Ukraine managed to save their injured comrade from a minefield. Just absolutely insane.

It's rare you see such a perfect example of midwittery in the wilds - an ideal specimen of pedantic mediocrity trying to retrospectively scold one of the greatest writers in human history.
"English is both a Germanic and Latin language" once again begging to make intro to linguistics obligatory in every high school

I have spent the last year+ researching the origins of the war for a future book. Relatedly, I have co-led a Stanford/Hoover team in interviewing dozens of key decision makers. I can say with a high level of confidence that this take is unmitigated bullshit.
Had it not been for Boris Johnson and Victoria Nuland -- who personally forced Zelensky to reject the deal Ukraine and Russia were about to sign in Istanbul in 2022 -- this horrific war that has killed more than a million and consumed much of Ukraine would have been long over.

This is how Kremlin's propaganda gets recycled in the west. What's Greenwald's "source" for his claims ? Branko Marcetic writing for The Jacobin ofc.

I know why, it's because squirreled away in his boomer brain is the name Mohamed al-Fayed, the late Harrods owner and prominent businessman + show man + serial lawsuit guy + sexual deviant contemporary of his.
Trump: "This guy, I call him Mohammed El-Fayad. Some people call him Abdul. I call him Mohammed. Somebody said, 'why?' I said, I don't know. I feel like it."

On the topic of names. in a libel action (Hamilton v Al-Fayed) heard in the High Court in London in 1999, Al Fayed's lawyer initiated a scrap with the plaintiffs' lawyer over their side referring to his client as Fayed, rather than his preferred name, Al Fayed.

After watching a few hours of high legal bickering over the issue between two wig wearing KC's on obscene pay, an exasperated Al Fayed blurted out "You can call me Al Capone, if you want"

13 years ago today, I walked into the Crown Bar in Belfast with a group of Spanish students. I stepped outside briefly, and they went to the bar to order themselves some pints. When I came back inside, I found a man in their midst, bossing them all about as they tried to make themselves understood. He turned to me and said: “Who the fuck are you!?” Taken aback, I replied: “I’m their English teacher.” And without missing a beat, he said: “Well you’re doing a shit job then.” Reader, I married him.

Read the article, then read the replies and quotes. I know it's xdotcom so the effect is exaggerated by politically motivated / larp accounts, never-the-less, it seems likely a fair percentage of people are just incapable of processing language and comprehending meaning.

I wonder what the % of the population is that are just mentally incapable of such 10, 15, 20%?
