Kaylub Giamanco says he is haunted by the sound of children pleading for their lives. He also praised the teacher for grabbing the gunman's weapon, allowing him to take a shot at the shooter. "I want to recognize [the teacher]. She gave me the opportunity to make my shot without losing my life..." "I swung the door open, and I stepped in, and I fired, and they dropped to the ground... I looked down at the gunman, and he was scrambling for his weapon. And I looked at him, and I shot him 2 more times..."

🚨 @POTUS and @SecKennedy announce the creation of a U.S. Caught Seafood label to give consumers an easy way to identify American-caught seafood. Consumers deserve to know that their seafood is harvested safely and sustainably by American fishermen.

The climate scammers tell us that we must have offshore wind turbines to lower CO2, when they know that every single turbine that is produced causes a net INCREASE in CO2 emissions over the lifetime of the turbine. ICYMI- the components of every wind installation are carbon intensive: steel for the towers, rare earth minerals mined from third world countries, fossil fuel lubricants, massive amounts of diesel burned by ships during construction and maintenance.
We have been hectored mercilessly for 35 years about the need to reduce emissions to 'Save the Climate'. So let's see how emissions have been doing. Surely the world must be close to zero emissions by now? Oops. They've been steadily rising. The hectoring has been a waste of time. And the climate's doing just fine. Another 'End of the World' cult joins every single one of its many predecessors. In the bin marked 'FAILED'

As the wife of a commercial fisherman, I cannot begin to explain how disturbing it was to watch Cape May Mayor Zack Mullock’s photo-op video in front of commercial fishing vessels this morning. My husband has spent over 30 years commercial fishing. He spends more time offshore than he does at home, working one of the most dangerous occupations in this country. Like so many fishing families, we’ve made sacrifices that most people will never understand. Those vessels aren’t props for a political campaign. They represent hardworking families, generations of fishing history, and an industry that brings hundreds of millions of dollars into Cape May County’s economy. Our fishermen bring tremendous revenue into Cape May . We support local docks, seafood processors, trucking companies, suppliers, and countless shoreside businesses. We put fresh seafood on the tables of local restaurants, support the tourism economy, and help feed this country. When people sit down at a restaurant in Cape May and order fresh seafood, they should remember the men and women who spent days or weeks offshore catching it. Behind every pound of seafood is a working vessel, a crew, and families at home waiting for their safe return. What makes that video particularly upsetting is remembering what our fishing industry went through fighting Ørsted. While fishermen, seafood processors, and fishing organizations were spending years attending hearings, submitting testimony, and fighting offshore wind development in federal court, Cape May’s city government, under Mullock’s administration, pursued and accepted $500,000 from a trust funded by Ørsted. A foreign developer. To me, as a fisherman’s wife, that was a kick in the teeth. Cape May County itself joined major seafood companies, including Lund’s Fisheries, in a federal lawsuit challenging Ørsted’s Ocean Wind 1 project. The county’s own complaint recognized commercial fishing as its largest employer and revenue-producing sector. And now I’m watching the mayor stand in front of fishing vessels for a campaign video. Where was that representation when our fishing families were fighting to protect their livelihoods? What’s even more concerning to me is that Mullock is now running for Congress. Commercial fisheries are federally managed. The decisions made in Washington directly affect our fishing grounds, regulations, businesses, and livelihoods. We depend on our congressional representatives to understand what is at stake. I don’t expect every politician to understand what it’s like to have a husband hundreds of miles offshore, risking his life to provide for his family. But I do expect elected officials to understand the importance of the industry they’re using as a campaign backdrop. Commercial fishermen deserve more than a photo opportunity. They deserve a voice, genuine representation, and accountability. I’ve spent years standing alongside fishing families fighting to protect this industry. Watching that video, knowing the history, was deeply upsetting. Our boats are not campaign props. Our livelihoods are not political accessories. We bring revenue into your communities, seafood to your restaurants, and food to America’s tables. Our fishing families deserve to be heard. #StopOffshoreWind #SupportYourLocalFishermen #NJ facebook.com/share/r/1BAkbvg… @njcoast_protect @JudgeMichaelD @Congressman_JVD

Commercial fishermen desperately need elected officials who represent our values. Do your research, make a plan, and show up this election season for candidates who represent commercial fishing and our maritime heritage!

We've known for 22 years, it was first presented and discussed by the Coast Guard and Otis Air at this meeting. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers held its Nantucket public hearing regarding the proposed Cape Wind project on Wednesday, December 8, 2004.

The Coast Guard And Otis told the DOD way back when we were fighting Cape Wind, The Army Corps of Engineers was right there when it was all presented/discussed. Apparently when BOEM was created in 2011 they did zero safety research? Lost the info or something?

Danish Oil and Natural Gas (DONG), the energy company owned by the Kingdom of Denmark and later rebranded as Ørsted, put $15 million into a trust administered by the law firm of the late New Jersey Governor Jim Florio—which took a substantial cut. Was it any surprise that Florio became a vocal advocate for an offshore wind industry that threatened small businesses along the Jersey Shore and generations of fishing jobs? And is it any surprise that Cape May Mayor Zach Mullock received $500,000 from this Ørsted-funded slush fund in 2026, reportedly becoming the only mayor to accept money from a fund originally intended to “grease the wheels” for offshore wind development in coastal communities up and down the Jersey Shore? Something stinks in Cape May. And it’s not the clams. shorenewsnetwork.com/cape-ma… @ShoreNewsNJ @Congressman_JVD

🚨 @POTUS & @SecRollins are working to include fishermen in a fuel relief program to help with rising costs. Fishermen are the farmers of the sea, and without their hard work, we would rely heavily on imported seafood. We’re grateful that this administration is working to protect commercial fishing and ensure it can thrive for generations to come. usda.gov/about-usda/news/pre…

False. @POTUS has refunded $ that these foreign corporations spent on offshore wind leases that never should have been granted in the first place. America's offshore wind detour The Trump administration is paying offshore wind developers billions to abandon projects, raising questions about energy costs and taxpayer money qz.com/trump-offshore-wind-b…

Wind turbines are delaying rescues and putting mariners’ lives at risk. @mtkblb joined @77WABCradio's @JCats2013 to discuss last week’s medical emergency aboard a wind farm construction vessel, when turbines prevented the Coast Guard from flying in to help.

When a man goes overboard, seconds matter. Offshore wind farms are posing life-threatening risks to mariners, delaying rescues and, in some cases, preventing emergency aircraft from reaching vessels in distress. These energy companies must be held accountable for the dangers they create and the consequences on people’s lives.
