Found this injured pigeon yesterday and took him to @wildbirdfund and he was treated with such respect and dignity and this is just to say the world should be more like this

Does anybody else feel that the pandemic was a much bigger break in society than we knew at the time, or that we can even see now? Like in 20-30 years it’s going to be clearly seen as a tipping point.

This president is openly calling for ethnic cleansing while sitting next to a genocidal war criminal. He’s perfectly fine cutting off working Americans from federal funds while the funding to the Israeli government continues flowing.
Reporter: How many people are you thinking need to leave Gaza? Trump: “All of them. Probably a million seven, maybe a million eight. They’ll be settled in areas where they can live a beautiful life.” (Longer version of clip below ⬇️)

Anyone who would force someone go through this kind of trauma is a monster. (And the icing on the big ol' American cake is that she had to pay for said trauma since health insurance denied claims.)

Exciting news! Thanks to a $25k grant from @craignewmark Philanthropies and another from a special WBF friend, any donation this week is doubled up to $30k. Would anyone like to help us care for hundreds of migrating songbirds (and a purple gallinule💜)? wbf.app.neoncrm.com/campaign…

This 600-year-old painting is one of the most mysterious in history. That mirror at the back is just 3 inches wide — yet it reflects the entire room in immense detail. Look closer at it and you'll realize nothing is as it seems… (thread) 🧵

Imagine being so selfish that instead of responsibly rehoming your cat, you stop feeding him and giving him water, and start leaving the windows open hoping he'll just leave? Good luck with motherhood, I guess
A pet is sometimes a starter child. Then the real human child arrives and the pet suffers. My postpartum loathing of Lucky made me wonder whether I might be a late-onset psychopath. trib.al/MbQUGyx

My Delta flight was 2 hours late which was fine but then they boarded us and 20 minutes later they were deplaning us bc “oops we do not have a pilot” … which just feels like the first thing to check before boarding a plane

By the grace of god we have landed. Also I overheard a Delta employee last night blaming Air France which felt very American of us, blaming the French lol

They tried to feed me a chocolate calzone for breakfast which I don’t think is a delicacy in any culture but happy to be done with this, c’est parti

Anyway I’ve had this little fledgling on my windowsill a couple weeks and it’s been so cute seeing Mom watch over her until she’s ready to go (one kid already flew off, this gal’s a late bloomer) 💜

Meet Max, surrendered by his family at age 12 💔 We just rescued him from a high-kill shelter. Max is looking for an amazing family who can come to New Jersey. He’s affectionate, full of love, and gets along well with dogs and cats. Apply: bfp.org/rescue/

This is a true story and I think about it every day of my life: I once had an hour, before a reading, to get through The Andy Warhol Museum. I wanted to be efficient so I marched up to a security guard and asked “where are the cans?” and he was like left/hallway/stairs/left...
