Tommy Robinson is being defended as though this is his first conviction. Repost to remind people who they're defending.

Do MBZ, Khaldoon and Mansour really believe they can just hang all this on Soriano (and Pearce)? They’re actually delusional 😂 No wonder their legal “strategy” is so completely irrational.
Several City Football Group sources believe the situation Manchester City find themselves in may serve as a needed reset for the broader group. Ferran Soriano was seen as a visionary by some and incredibly bullish about the direction he was taking the group in, but others perceived him as believing he was a tech guru in the mould of Mark Zuckerberg. 📝 @JordanC1107 & @CWeatherspoon_ nyti.ms/4isLAWu

The gaslighting from Tommy Robinson’s supporters is extraordinary. They are trying to construct a narrative that journalists somehow endangered his children by photographing him at a well-known five-star luxury resort. How do you think those journalists knew where he was? Robinson had already been publicly documenting his luxury holiday, posting photographs from the resort on his own social media. In typical Tommy Robinson fashion, he is now using emotive language to weaponise his large and fanatical following to spread misinformation about what actually happened. The journalists simply published photographs similar to those Robinson had already published himself. They didn’t reveal his location or name the resort. They highlighted the extraordinary hypocrisy of a man safely enjoying a luxury five-star holiday in Cyprus while simultaneously using social media to encourage his followers in Britain to take to the streets and participate in protests that ultimately turned violent, resulting in numerous arrests. This is journalism. This is precisely why we need journalists: to expose the hypocrisy of these grifters who enjoy the luxury while encouraging ordinary working people to put themselves and their families at risk. And how did Robinson respond to journalists simply doing their jobs? He hired private investigators, photographed their homes and families, published identifying information to his millions of followers and threatened them. The consequences were journalists requiring security protection and, in one case, having to evacuate their family from their own home. This is why Tommy Robinson was convicted. Nothing more, nothing less.

PS: i don't blame you, as a genuine lifelong City fan, for believing the version of this story fed to you by your "friends" at City (your words), but FFS, you're a journalist. You're paid now by the BBC. Do your job.
Hi David, listened to this yesterday. You stated, unequivocally, that Man City haven't briefed or leaked on this story. That is categorically untrue, and has been since 2020, at least. Get in touch and I'll give you details. But don't lie to your licence-paying listeners.

🚨🇬🇧 They say, “Tommy was protecting his family.” “They did it to him first.” Two excuses. A jury heard and rejected both. The Mail wrote about a public figure on holiday. Tommy hired private investigators to photograph journalists’ homes, then told a million followers “I will find you.” That isn’t the same thing. And it isn’t protection. Here’s what the jury actually heard. What happened In August 2024, while England was rioting, Robinson was on holiday in Cyprus, posting about the riots to his followers. The Mail found him there and ran a story: “Stoking riots from his sunbed.” Over the next three days he went after the two reporters, Jacob Dirnhuber and Andrew Young. 🔺5 August: a direct message to Dirnhuber. “I’ll be knocking at your door.” 🔺5 August: a phone call to Young. Robinson told him he’d be coming to his home and that he’d “have to move house.” 🔺6 August: a post naming Dirnhuber, saying he and the other Mail journalists had “today been located.” 🔺7 August: a video to around a million followers. He said he had details of where they and their families lived. He told them to abide by “men’s rules.” Then: “The men, on the other hand, I will find you.” He also hired private investigators to photograph their homes. He admitted it in court. The result: Dirnhuber moved house. Young was given a close protection officer. The law The charge was harassment causing fear of violence. The prosecution had to prove a course of conduct that made each man fear violence on at least two occasions, and that Robinson knew or ought to have known it would. That last part is an objective test. What Robinson says he meant doesn’t decide it. What decides it is what a reasonable person would expect a million followers to do with “I will find you.” His defence He said he was protecting his family. That is a real defence in law, if the conduct is reasonable for protecting someone. Police had given him four threat-to-life warnings. The jury heard all of it. Why it failed He admitted the aim was pressure. Telling a million people where journalists live doesn’t protect your children. It endangers theirs. 🔺He didn’t dispute that they were frightened. Asked in evidence, he said no. 🔺He never complained to the press regulator. He never asked the Mail to change or remove the story. The legal route was there. He skipped it. 🔺His own words. “Men’s rules” is not the language of protection. One is journalism, however much you dislike it. The other is a threat. The jury He chose this. At the magistrates’ court he was offered a trial there. He opted for a jury instead, saying he wanted 12 members of the British public to hear the evidence. They did. They convicted on both counts. Sentencing is on 16 December.

Now would be a good time to remind everyone of these Trump facts, because apparently some people still need the refresher. Please meet the President of the United States: Flew on Epstein’s plane at least seven times. Just friends, I guess. Pleaded the Fifth more than 400 times in a single deposition. Nothing says “innocent” like refusing to answer a single question about your own business. 34 felony convictions. A record most people would call disqualifying. And 91 criminal charges. Accused of sexual misconduct or assault by at least 26 women. But sure, tell me again how he’s a great guy. 6 corporate bankruptcies. The self proclaimed greatest businessman alive somehow keeps running out of money. 5 draft deferments. Funny how the toughest guy in the room never actually showed up for duty. He said, "no thanks", when asked to serve his country. Speaking about McCain, Trump stated: "He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren't captured." 4 criminal indictments. Not two. Not three. Four. 2 impeachments. A club of exactly one president. 2 of his own companies convicted of criminal tax fraud. Convicted. Not accused. Convicted. During the 2016 presidential election, Trump’s campaign orchestrated a televised Iowa fundraiser meant for veterans but directed the foundation’s money to boost his political campaign. The charity was used to buy personal items, including a $10,000 portrait of Trump. The New York State Attorney General filed a lawsuit in 2018, regarding Donald J. Trump Foundation, alleging a "pattern of persistent illegality" and self-dealing. The investigation found that Trump used the charity as a personal "piggy bank." The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The Eric Trump Foundation Controversy: This investigation revealed that the charity raised money under the guise of FUNDING THE ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL, but was allegedly charged over $1.2 million by the Trump Organization for using Trump-owned golf courses, shifting donor money meant for sick children back into Trump businesses. 1 fake university shut down. Trump's charities always involved cheating and grifting. HE AND HIS FAMILY ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO RUN A CHARITY IN NEW YORK He and his family are no longer allowed to run a charity in New York because the Trump Organization used the funds for Trump-owned golf courses, SHIFTING DONOR MONEY MEANT FOR SICK CHILDREN INTO TRUMP BUSINESSES. He was ordered to pay 2 million dollars for looting his own so called charity. Paid 25 million dollars to settle the Trump University fraud lawsuit because scamming people who believed in you costs money eventually. Ordered to pay 5 million dollars in the first E Jean Carroll sexual abuse verdict, then hit with 83.3 million more in the second. A jury said it twice so nobody could pretend it was a fluke. First president in modern history to increase the deficit every single year of a full term. Fiscal responsibility, apparently, was always just a talking point. Kept the debt to GDP ratio above 100 percent for his entire first term. Presided over the largest single day point drop in Dow Jones history at the time. So much for the guy who claimed to be a genius with money. Set the record for the longest government shutdown in US history in his first term at 35 days, then couldn’t resist beating his own miserable record in his second term with a 43 day shutdown, followed by yet another shutdown just months later. THE ONLY POTUS TO HAVE 3 GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWNS IN HIS TERMS. Added roughly 2.25 trillion dollars to the national debt in his first year back in office alone, pushing the debt past 39 trillion dollars. Somebody remind me who the party of fiscal discipline is again. Pushed through the largest defense budget increase since World War Two while the debt kept climbing anyway. Purged more than 300,000 federal employees in his first year back. Pardoned nearly 1,600 January 6 Capitol rioters on his very first day back in office, including Oath Keepers and Proud Boys leaders convicted of seditious conspiracy. Law and order, except when it’s inconvenient. At least 40 of those pardoned rioters have already been rearrested, charged, or sentenced for new crimes since walking free. Shocking absolutely nobody. His family’s crypto ventures, including a meme coin and World Liberty Financial, pulled in more than 1.4 billion dollars in disclosed earnings while he sat in the Oval Office. Draining the swamp was apparently code for filling his own pockets. Sent the National Guard into American cities at a cost of nearly 500 million taxpayer dollars in 2025 alone, then BRAGS about lower crime. He has no long term solution - ever. He just sends in the military. The military seems to be his answer to everything. His own tariffs are projected to cost the average American household more than 2,500 dollars this year. YOU'RE PAYING FOR THIS. NOT CHINA. YOU! Got America involved in a forever war with Iran, though promised the exact opposite. Peace deal with Russia and Ukraine on Day One. He has continued to side with Putin and has never admitted that Russia invaded Ukraine - UNPROVOKED. Now sitting at one of the lowest approval ratings of his second term, stuck in the mid 30s while inflation and gas prices make everyday life harder. None of this is a conspiracy theory, a rumor, or something you saw in a group chat. It is the actual, documented record, sitting in plain sight for anyone willing to look. So the next time someone tells you to relax and give him a chance, ask them how many more indictments, judgments, and shutdown records he needs to rack up before that chance runs out. Manchester United fans confronted Jim Ratcliffe and delivered a few home truths. “You’re fcking worse than the Glazers, mate.” “Sort it out, you cnt.” “Fck you, Jim Ratcliffe!” They were right then and they’re right now. INEOS out. Glazers out. And take your minions like Berrada and Wilcox with you. The club can’t recover until that happens.

⚖️ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦… 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘔𝘢𝘯 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺’𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵. We know that at the 2024 Independent Commission for their “115 charges”, Man City presented their “irrefutable evidence” in support of their defence known as the “CPC Explanation”. In short, Man City acknowledged the leaked emails stated they were transferring funds from the corporate owner, ADUG, to sponsors but that all the authors of those emails were just “confused” and made “false assumptions” for 8 years. Man City’s defence was that the money flows being described in the emails and documents actually related to money flows from the central government of the UAE (a.k.a. the Crown Prince Court, a.k.a. CPC). The Commission decided this defence and “irrefutable evidence” in support of it was all fake - a “concoction” after the fact. This alone will backfire heavily. It creates serious aggravating factors for any sanction, which really should lead to a recommendation to permanently expel this ownership. But had it worked, they still had a challenge… Man City would have still breached all the same PL rules! You see, there’s no realistic possibility that Man City’s CPC Explanation could have succeeded AND at the same time, not led to Man City and its Abu Dhabi state-owned sponsors being determined Related Parties (something that the Commission found to be the case anyway). As Related Parties, the relationships needed to be reported (they weren’t) and Fair Market Value (FMV) be assessed for each RPT (they weren’t). RPT stands for Related Party Transaction. So, why do it? Why risk further sanctions and even criminal prosecutions for no real gain? Well, this was only part 1 of their defence strategy. The second part was happening concurrently in another, different proceeding between Man City and the PL. In 2021, the PL updated its rules regarding RPTs and changed them to Associated Party Transactions (APTs). This was because they had learned (from the evidence Man City was finally forced to hand over by the High Court in 2020) that autocratic nation states like the UAE could readily hide the true nature of Related Parties to by-pass the rules. Newcastle was about to be acquired by Saudi Arabia at this time too and the PL realised they had to act quickly before they risked the possibility of more nation-state cheating. The APT rules widened the definition and made it much harder for nation states to by-pass the rules and repeat Man City’s cheating. In early 2024, when Man City was preparing its defence for its “115 charges”, the PL clubs voted to tighten the APT rules even further, once again making it even harder to cheat them. In reality, they went too far on one modification that required the clubs (instead of the PL) to prove FMV whilst at the same time, not granting the clubs access to the database used to determine FMV. It was unfair and opened up the rules to challenge (whichever lawyer wrote the amendment was an idiot). The impact of the amendment was that it would make Man City’s excessive, non-commercial APTs (like their proposed Etihad deal) much harder to get approved. Man City launched a Section X challenge against the APT rules in early 2024 with a number of different aims…
