This brings me to Mastodon. Mastodon is a nonprofit, decentralized social media platform. Its “antiviral design” promotes healthy conversation, not oneupmanship. As a nonprofit and open source software, it can never be bought, and users are not manipulated by algorithms.
Mastodon is my new glimmer of hope for a human experience on the web. It reminds me of the experience we had long ago, when it was less about profits or politics, and more about connection.
I’ll see y’all around, on Mastodon or elsewhere. Not here.

The lightning is a randomized CSS change. I wish it was done in three.js but I’ll need to research it more.
