Bangalore - the city of meetups! Finally met some of the lovely ladies from 'Ladies of putting scene', a WhatsApp community currently run by @amruthajalihal. The community was started by @showmannan as a breakway from @puttingscenes. It's been my go to place for all things I can only consult the girlies with, and they have meetups pretty often! On a side note, this meetup took place at Jamming Goat, Indiranagar and man I loved their Mirchi bhaji filled with cheese!

2 nice quotes frm informal anonymous feedback for my course on #mechanobiology . “Every class made me more curious” “I will take up courses that you teach in the next Sem as well, although I have completed my credit requirements.” Teaching is such a fun-filled and satisfying job.

Just now withdrawn my name frm a conference as it doesn’t have enough women speakers (3/14). I blv that we can’t continue 2 attend such meetings n take part in panel discussion on “Women in Stem”. We need to push the organisers to think twice b4 they finalise speaker list.

I generally avoid making non-academic comment on Twitter but being a queer person myself this topic is close to my heart (literally). Let me list out what benefit a marriage gives to 0.1% (actually much more) of the citizen (that’s including me). Contd.
What benefits it actually gives to those 0.1% citizens? That was the very first question I asked. It still doesn't makes a man pregnant... teapawt.org/abhijit_MLab/status/16…

Education is not memorising that Hitler killed millions of innocent people. Education is understanding how millions of people were convinced that it was required. Education is learning how to spot the signs of history repeating itself.

I spent 10 mins looking for a safety pin. Then remembered the helpful aunties in Mumbai trains. Their gold chains held so many safety pins that helped in emergencies. Ah, the silent work women do in repairing, patching, saving things from breaking down even when on the move.

Trump wasn't kicked off Twitter for giggles. He was kicked off for doing very bad things. Musk not understanding this point is just another reminder (and this must be reminder 1 trillion!) that having money is not the same thing as being smart.
