**Updated data from @NPDA_RCPCH **
As of end September 2026:
Ages 0-18 with #T1Diabetes @NHSEngland
🔵 #ContinuousGlucoseMonitor uptake: 93.5%
🔵 #HybridClosedLoop uptake: 74.1%
🔵 Median Hba1c: 55 mmol/mol
🔵 Minimal to no gaps based on ethnicity & deprivation
Median HbA1c in 2017/18 just before the tech roll out began: 64 mmol/mol
Implementation of @NICEComms NG 18 and TA 943- with funds and a plan
The power of technology in self management- across a population.
And reduction of complications for a generation.
Once you accept less than the best?
You allow mediocrity.
And in what I do- there is no space for that.

If you are at @EASDnews and fancy coming to a “different” way of doing a session?
Come along
Sharing a stage with those with lived experience - what’s the point otherwise anyway
#T1Diabetes and #T2Diabetes
And some provocative discussions on whether everyone should have a CGM in tight health budgets
Whether hypos are really THAT big an issue
Whether AI is just about tech-bros jumping onto a fad in diabetes care
And whether pineapple belongs on a pizza.
And oh it’s not a typical stage either
Come along for some fun- if you can.

I use Scheduler Pilot to sync scheduled stuff to calendar…yesterday realized I could then read those in from the calendar and cut out some manual logged things in Protocol Pilot…little automations everywhere adding up and cutting down on manual effort 👏🏻

An appeal to @ScotGovFM @AConstance23 @theSNP to kindly reconsider the decision around funding for #T1Diabetes and #Technology 🏴
We are happy to share data from across @NHSEngland @DHSCgovuk re data, impact and benefits 🏴
We cannot and should not have variable care across the 4 countries 🇬🇧
Thank you for considering please 🙏🏽

Did you know?
As per data
Diabetic Keto Acidosis rates in those previously diagnosed with #T1Diabetes is now the LOWEST since records began @NHSEngland
Across all ages
A plateau with a change in pattern since 2018
Across a country & health system
How. About. That.

77 today - a concept based on fairness
Most of which have now been stripped away
The irony is that the public would be satisfied with the #NHS if we did these basics
Then again…
