Coolest innovation I’ve seen in a while for a safer grey market. zeko.chat streamlines testing and pricing transparency for bulk peptide orders.

US stagnation in biotech development is at the point now where it is a national security risk. China owns majority of manufacturing and development. The US needs to respond not with isolationism (the Biosecure Act) but with DARPA-style programs like Operation Warp Speed. axios.com/2025/09/08/china-d…

There are generations of startups locked behind civilizational reform. People need to stop overlooking legal systems as an engine for change. Very much rooting for Próspera, the solarpunk Silicon Valley.
1 yr ago, I rescinded my US O1 visa, left my startup, and moved down to Próspera to build a city from scratch. It’s a zone with very special laws, regulations, and taxes. It has raised almost $200M, incl from Coinbase, Peter Thiel, and created 3000+ local jobs 🧵

Honored to be invited to @medialab last weekend. I spoke on how jurisdictional arbitrage can bring the U.S. back to the cutting edge in healthcare. If laws are holding back life-saving therapies, let’s change the laws 🚀
Thank you @MIT @medialab & @auglab for hosting us at the Human Augmentation Summit! We had a blast and are grateful to the team—especially @Dunya8a & @PedroHenriched for the amazing experience! Want to stay in the loop, partner, or work with us? 👉 bit.ly/3JtWz46

“Longevity” = early stage healthcare disruption. The FDA regulates the treatment of every disease except aging, so innovators must treat death itself and work backwards

You can get partial benefits of TPE by donating plasma. Plus it helps patients and furthers biotech research.

Given funding bubble in AI, companies MUST push for mass automation + big contracts to satisfy investors. Safety now only relevant in the context of delivering reliable product.

Announcing the Biopunk (Un)conference & RAVE: a gathering of biotech rebels and builders 🧬🔧👩‍🎤 📆 May 2-4th, 2025 in San Francisco With speakers from Ginkgo Bioworks, NVIDIA, Opentrons, E11 Bio, Pioneer Fund, Lowercarbon Capital, The Odin, Foresight Institute, Tomorrow Bio & more 🎙️ 3 days, 3 tracks: open bio (making bio accessible for all), heretical ideas (crazy-sounding-but-feasible) & "crash n burn" (tales of biotech building gone awry) 🤟 Biopunk is not your usual snooze-fest conference – it is a space for open discussion and dissent! Dive into sessions on: gene hacking, brain mapping, cryopreservation, greening the planet, making bee-free honey, dodging biosecurity disasters, fixing biolab supply chains, chasing eternal life, sperm racing, boosting brains, and tales from biotech’s wild misfires. All with a renegade edge 👩‍🎤⚡️ Come prepared with your most controversial (informed) opinions! (and your best biopunk moves for the rave 😎) @BiopunkLab

Announcing @AevitasHouse, a new nexus of bio-futurism and radical longevity in the heart of SF. Apply for residence at aevitashouse.bio/apply Why? When Petrarch descended Mt Ventoux, he imagined a world centered around the human condition. This inspiration birthed the Renaissance, the Humanities, and an explosion of art, philosophy, and science. Petrarch was still a captive of evolution. His human condition could not be reimagined, only studied. But this is the century of biology. With each technical achievement, we come closer to understanding--and expanding--our existence. Agency, not evolution, will dictate our reality. A new human condition--free from the vestiges of death and evolution--is out there for those brave enough to seek it. On the other side of this new frontier is the most expansive exploration of consciousness, cosmology, and meaning ever. There's no guarantee any of this will happen. The Second Renaissance is waiting. @AevitasHouse is creating a hub for ambitious, talented, technical researchers and founders building the new human condition. With support from @VitaliaCity @ProsperaGlobal @LBF_org and Vitalism.io, the amazing mentorship of @NiklasAnzinger @PedroHenriched, and my incredibly talented cofounder @techno0ptimist, applications are now open till Aug 11 (move-in on Sept 1). For more info, visit aevitashouse.bio or see below Vincerò! Vincerò! Vincerò!

Corollary: anyone who seeks convenient information instead of truth is not an ideal version of any of the below.
Mystics search for truth - the truth of what is. Scientists search for truth - the truth of how it works. Entrepreneurs search for truth - the truth of what people want.

Neuralink may be a unique source of randomness.
I took a look at the Neuralink compression challenge. The data has a bunch of noise, so 200x compression isn't possible, at least according to any method I'm aware of. But if you truncate to 4 bits you cut off the noise and if you subsample from 20 kHz to about 400 Hz (I used a DCT but that's definitely overthinking it) you can compress the signal 200x in 10 ms chunks. The alternative is to run some kind of triggering system in the loop and transmit bits for spikes. 4 bit sampling (16 levels) preserves the signal. There's almost no difference looking at FT truncation. Across the whole sample (~100k data points) 700 frequencies are heaps. Here's the FT. All that garbage in the middle is noise - incompressible and zero utility. Here's the original signal (blue), the 200x compressed fit (orange) and the residual (green), over a 10 ms window. There's nothing that original here. This is a time series version of jpeg compression.
