writing hot take: i know when you have a solid paragraph of dialogue that continues into another paragraph spoken by the same character, you’re supposed to end that paragraph with no quotation marks, but i think thats ugly as fuck and i will never do it

Keep busy. I haven't had an issue doing this because my brain is always stimulated with the work I'm doing. There is ALWAYS something I need to work on and I'm enabled to do what I want to a degree. I only leave either when I'm laid off or feel like I've plateaued in the role.

People also get mad when someone says "I did this!" while being supported by parents to some degree because it reads as privilege (and it is). Americans are so unbelievably individualistic that it's seen as "cheating" to have a support system.
