Panel moderated by @notmandatory on use of AI in Bitcoin FOSS “Now that code is free you can just get rid of dependencies. Months of work is done in a day. It centralizes the project around a few core contributors. ” @benthecarman Open source used to be this cool open thing where new contributors were welcomed. Not anymore. You see this new guy and you’re just like fuck off mate 🇦🇺 -tcharding Developers are being overloaded with AI security reports. Everyone should add a SECURITY.md including everything an expert would demand. It will help you get more quality out of bug reports, but actual correct risk and severity assessments @storopoli We use a perjury trap. Aggressive ban policy. The bots surviving the ban filter are actually more useful. -andytoshi

We’re live at the @tabconf main stage! 🎤 @ItoroUk is talking about what it takes to make Bitcoin wallet code written in Rust 🦀 work across different programming languages, including Swift, Kotlin, Python, and Dart. He’s breaking down the challenges developers face when bridging Rust with other languages and sharing practical ways to make Bitcoin tools work across different platforms.

Leonardo (@_oleonardolima) is a developer based in Brazil 🇧🇷, joining plebhash and Ansh among the first developers Btrust has directly funded outside Africa. He works on the @bitcoindevkit, a collection of libraries and tools for building Bitcoin wallets. He maintains BDK’s blockchain data-source clients, which help wallets obtain the information needed to track transactions and balances. With the long-term grant, Leonardo will continue this maintenance work alongside developer mentorship, supporting both wallet infrastructure and the people building it.

Here's the Stable Channels Lightning Server dashboard UX 👇 built on @lightningdevkit by @benthecarman, @_tnull @Biresh_Biswas et al. (node IDs/numbers changed) Little ⓘ buttons explain Lightning jargon throughout. We hope to bring it to Umbrel ASAP when LDK Server ships!

1/ Payjoin boards have been available in Bark for a couple of weeks now, so we thought it was time to take a closer look at what they can do: boarding direct from external wallet apps, saving the user fees and time, and the same trick applied to on-ramping into Cashu mints.

Would any of you like to do a live review of the @stablechannels Android app on a call with me? I’d love to watch you use it, hear what’s confusing, and problem-solve together. Decentralization + great UX are hard. Let’s figure it out together 🤝

Entirely accidental but I think Enclavia is falling into place as "right thing at the right time". Bitcoin companies need all the security they can get and we are getting ready to offer it

Nick Johnson's goal was to "become a rust-bitcoin contributor or maintainer." He is now a rust-bitcoin maintainer working on stabilizing the crates that half of bitcoin's Rust ecosystem sits on. His job is to make sure nothing interesting ever happens to these crates again.
