I've no intention of going anywhere, but BS has pulled out in front as the clear Twitter alternative, so if you want to follow me there, you here. Pinning this.

The “establishment” is also spending about $100M on El-Sayed washingtonmonthly.com/2026/1…
Stevens has totally disgraced herself but I don’t understand the impulse to exaggerate the extent of “establshment” hostility to El-Sayed rather than tell people they should vote for the guy who Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, Elissa Slotkin, Gary Peters, etc are all endorsing.

A man drove his car into a synagogue where a preschool session was in session last March and the Democratic nominee issued a 4-minute long video explaining where the assailant was coming from. It took him six months and a primary for him to walk it back.
The degree of raging, brazen Islamophobia in the Michigan Senate campaign outstrips any anti-Semitism there by orders of magnitude. People can try to both-sides this—and, in particular, they may try to pretend otherwise by magnifying the anti-Semitism they see in the guise of opposing it—but the evidence is clear, and deeply disturbing. If you support Rogers, you’re supporting rabid bigotry—not just in Michigan, but in the White House.

Something I really love about Over the Garden Wall is that it's one of the few projects I can think of that incorporates 19th-century Americana without leaning hard into the West or veering into generalized Victoriana that isn't a specific period piece.
They'd put you in chud camps and execute you for making this now

He was a hero. He wasn’t even on duty that day. But he grabbed his medical bag and headed for the burning north tower. They found it next to what was left of him. He defied the evacuation order and stayed to try to save as many as possible until the building fell upon him.
The body of missing NYPD cadet Mohammad Salman Hamdani is found at Ground Zero, and the public learns that the Pakistani Muslim police cadet, who was thought to have played a role in the attacks, actually died trying to rescue people from them. U.S. Representative Gary Ackman (D-NY) issues a statement condemning Islamophobia in the wake of the confusion.

🚨🚨🚨 The entire clergy team of Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, the synagogue that was targeted in a Hezbollah-inspired terrorist attack earlier this year, responds to the antisemitic pro-El Sayed ad: "Ads like this create an environment that fosters the next violent threat... Neither El-Sayed nor his campaign has clarified that the message is false and dangerous, which is especially relevant because El-Sayed himself has suggested that money spent supporting Israel is why Michiganians lack healthcare, good schools and infrastructure... If El-Sayed does indeed object to this ad, he should condemn it clearly. Refusing to do so also sends a message. With only days left for Michiganians to cast votes, the public deserves to know where El-Sayed stands."

I dont understand why he doesnt just condemn the ad. It costs him nothing to do so. It wasnt even an ad made by his campaign. "This ad was bad and isnt the message my campaign agrees with, here's what I do care about: 1, 2, 3" boom done, easy. Awful political instincts.

The funny thing is that the absolute god tier programmers almost universally love AI even if they are afraid of it. There is no group that is more into AI
"I used AI to-" Then you aren't an artist. "I used AI to-" Then you aren't a writer. "I used AI to-" Then you aren't a coder. "I used AI to-" Then you aren't a game dev. "I used AI to-" Then you aren't a poet. "I used AI to-" Then you aren't a filmmaker. "I used AI to-" Then you aren't a teacher.

Mike from Pa called Jews an evil ethnicity and he's still welcome in the left ecosystem for some reason
Professor Dave - along with @Mike_from_PA - discuss the need to gas the Jews and anyone who supports them in Washington. Hey guys, dog whistle or not, maybe don't call for the exact method that was used to exterminate millions of Jews less than a century ago? (Credit to PragmaticDevil on Reddit for noticing this)

Gotham is “creativity through limits” to the fullest. “You cant use the joker” Ok fuck you sure, we will make 2 mfs 99% joker and cover almost every interpretation of him while calling them ‘J’. AND their episodes will be the HIGHLIGHT OF THE SERIES

If you want to know why so many Jews are reluctant to vote for Abdul El-Sayed, it's because he spent time on the campaign trail with this repugnant anti-Semite. If Piker made the kind of hateful statements he says here about any other minority group, liberal Democrats would fall over themselves to condemn him. But because it's Jews, they don't care and they say nothing.
🚨🚨 Abdul El-Sayed surrogate Hasan Piker crashes out over El-Sayed’s canvassers knocking doors in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Piker compares it to “going to that like Klan KKK neighborhood to stump for like a Black candidate.” “It’s racial supremacy. It’s Jewish supremacy. What do you think it is? Yeah, clip it and post it.” Piker, a dual citizen who grew up in Turkey, then rages at a Jewish Democrat in Oakland County who says she is voting for Mike Rogers: “If it’s so dangerous, go live in Israel… You fucking idiot. You fucking moron… You fucking psycho.”

One thing that the last few years have taught me is that people don't really distinguish between Jew, Israeli, and Zionist. We're all basically the same thing to them. It doesn't matter if you're an anti-Zionist Jew, a pro-Palestinian Jew, or an anti-Netanyahu/far-right Israeli. Anti-Zionist and anti-Israeli stuff has become anti-Semitic dog whistles to a depressing amount of the left and amongst Palestinian activists. I used to try to look past it. I understood the difference. But a lot of people are, unfortunately, too stupid to do that.
One of the most insane videos I've seen. American-Jewish comedian who describes himself as pro-Palestine is attacked at his show by a woman who believes all Jews are evil. This antisemitic garbage has become totally normalised. Social media brain rot!

This video is going around and to say you hate a group of people without embarrassment is nuts but the comedian’s almost implication of “well, Israel obviously is wrong and I can understand why you hate THOSE Jews” is kind of more upsetting to me. It truly reeks of “yeah, but what about the good Jews who have the ‘right’ politics. You shouldn’t hate them.” A lot of people hate Jews. Your knee-jerk reaction to have to condemn Israel won’t make it stop. I promise you.

1. Obama and Kamala campaigned for him 2. You DSA guys literally gave Kamala the moniker “Holocaust Harris”. Don’t get started on party loyalty.
Abdul El-Sayed may underperform the generic ballot by a few % and all the usual suspects will insist it was because he was too progressive or whatever and just ignore that a huge chunk of his own fucking party has been openly trying to torpedo his campaign

My man, it's this or six years of Mike Rogers, with the bonus of potentially losing a Senate majority and handing Trump 1-2 more SCOTUS lifetime appointments. Choice is obvious.
I really, really don't want six years of this El-Sayed guy in the Senate. Platforming his kind kind of hate is unconscionable. There is no excuse for giving anti-semitism an ounce of political power.

Hasan Piker's latest online rant targeting Michiganders in West Bloomfield Township, comparing the community to the KKK, should be condemned loudly. It is anti-semitic, divisive and deeply offensive. I get that this is what he does for attention. But flippantly attacking a proud, diverse community — not to mention a political organizer doing the most American of things in our democratic process — reveals how misguided and uninformed he actually is about Michigan.

Y'all keep saying this crap as if Mike Rogers and what he'll enable isn't worse.
This is disgusting. I defended Abdul’s dad when left-wing professors tried to push him out as union president. I can’t vote for Abdul because his campaign runs on hate and arrogance. It’s not about his name or religion. It’s about his character. Like you, Piker, he’s a gutter dweller.

I kept expecting him to eventually do the bare minimum for Jewish voters and it just never came. Ultimately, Stevens should have just sucked it up and accepted the guy just is who he is and not conditioned her campaign appearances for the final stretch. But frankly, she *wasn't* asking for much, just the bare minimum to appeal to Jewish voters, and he couldn't even do that. I had hoped that he'll improve over the course of his time as Senator, but I'm starting to doubt he's capable. If that's the case, he'll be a one-term wonder swept in on a blue wave.
Let’s be clear about something. El-Sayed chose to bring Hasan Piker into the Democratic primary for a critical swing-state senate race. He chose to tie himself to and elevate one of the most noxious, bigoted, divisive figures he possibly could. He campaigned with him five times. He spent election night of the primary at an “influencer” pool party with the guy. He set the tone for this entire campaign. Since then, El-Sayed has been given ample opportunity to disavow Piker, to address the concerns of Jewish Dems, and to bring the party together. He’s rejected almost every single one. More often, he’s dug in and doubled down — as he’s doing now. Christ, the man can’t even condemn an “it’s Jews making your groceries expensive” ad. There’s one person and person alone who’s responsible for dividing Democrats and injecting groyper-style noxiousness into Michigan Democratic politics. His name is Abdul El-Sayed.

While AES is expected to underperform the ticket, probably significantly, Angie Nixon is not. Ask yourself why. Yes, some of it is that AES is Muslim, and that's a huge issue in Michigan, while Nixon is a black woman in a state with a sizeable, underrepresented black population, but it's also because Nixon is a far superior candidate. She didn't come across as a desperate pick-me, campaigning with Hasan Piker and other social-climbing left-wing online figures and pulling a pathetic Mariah Carey "I don't know her" act when asked to answer for them. She avoided making Israel a major issue, knowing it has no salience in the general election, focusing instead on what matters in Florida – affordability and corruption. Even though she was critical of the party, unfairly, in my opinion, she saved her sharpest barbs for Moody and the GOP. The fact is, fair or not, because of who they both are and what they both believe, they both had to be 10x the candidate that a white candidate had to be. She is doing it. He is not.
