I think a lot of people - especially before realising they’re trans - don’t understand that their discomfort and unhappiness is caused by gender dysphoria. A lot of things make way more sense the moment you figure out you’re trans and start transitioning.

People should remember non-binary and gnc people can and do experience dysphoria and transition. Everyone experiences dysphoria differently, and people’s understanding can evolve as they grow. And that’s ok. Ultimately, how someone personally chooses to be is their own business
