An overnight Ukrainian drone strike set fire to a major Russian oil refinery on Friday, and Moscow is accusing Kyiv of ignoring U.S. President Donald Trump’s request to stop attacks.
This is false,
This is a 2013 video. #BenjaminNatanyahu hasn't been attacked, no evidence exist.

A compromised voter register cannot guarantee credible elections – Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi, Ex-INEC Director.
#PoliticsToday
Yesterday, I joined the @SituationRoomNg's Co-Convener and the Secretariat to receive the ECOWAS Pre-Election Mission, led by the former Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, on assessment of the #NigeriaDecides2027.
During the conversation, I brought to the fore:
1. @INECnigeria's independence and some conflicts of interest in appointments
2. Free, fair and credible election expectations
3. Preventive Diplomacy
4. Early warning concerns
5. The credibility of the voter register (AI content). 103M voters and the youth population.

In view of the forthcoming 2027 Presidential and National Assembly Elections, the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room welcomed a delegation from the ECOWAS Commission, led by H.E. Victor Bockarie FOH, former Vice-President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, on a Pre-Election Fact-Finding Mission to Nigeria.
The delegation also included H.E Julius F. Sandy, High Commissioner of Sierra Leone and Permanent Representative to ECOWAS; Mr. Serigne Mamadou KA, Head of Electoral Assistance Division and Permanent Secretary of ECONEC; alongside other electoral experts and staff of the ECOWAS Commission.
The mission aims to assess electoral preparedness, engage with key stakeholders, and identify areas where ECOWAS can provide timely support towards peaceful, credible, inclusive, and transparent elections.
During the stakeholder engagement, Situation Room shared insights on its ongoing work to strengthen electoral integrity and accountability, including the Credibility Threshold for the 2027 General Elections – a framework outlining the conditions necessary for an election to be considered free, fair, and credible.
The exchange provided an opportunity to discuss ongoing efforts, challenges, and recommendations for strengthening Nigeria’s electoral process ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

Austin Aigbe has warned that the Federal Government’s reported N100,000 support for people undergoing #Ebola-related isolation could encourage some Nigerians to falsely claim they have the disease, particularly amid the country’s economic hardship.

An audit of INEC's technical glitch of 2023 could have helped to reduce the trust issues.
Speaking at the public launch of the Nigeria Election Data Observatory (NEDO) Consortium by @NEDemocracy and its partners on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, Situation Room Coordinator, @AgianpeA, highlighted that if an audit of INEC’s electoral processes of 2023 general elections to establish what went wrong, how it happened and what could help to reduce the lack of trust by citizens and to prevent a recurrence. Proactive communication is also very important.
Watch her take on why a thorough audit of INEC’s technical glitch of the 2023 general election is critical to improving electoral credibility and accountability.

Fact check: Tinubu shaking with Left Hand.
Claim:
A clip posted by X.arinzecajet001 on Oct 24, 2026, showing @officialABAT at the @OfficialAPCNg campaign flag-off in Kaduna shaking hands with the receiving line with his left hand.
What really happened:
- The original video shows Tinubu shaking with his right hand, with the receiving line positioned on his left. The viral clip was a mirror-reversed edit designed to mislead.
- By protocol, the receiving line is always on the right side of the aircraft facing the nose. The clip people claim is arrival is actually departure from Abuja to Kaduna, where he shook VP Shettima and then Gov. Uba Sani's hands.
- The clip also had a fake AI logo superimposed.
Why it's spreading now:
Today (October 25), there ARE real videos from the Kaduna rally where his right hand is visibly shaking/trembling — that's a different video, not the left-hand shake. Multiple reels surfaced today:
- Public Lens video today shows his right hand shaking vigorously at the Kaduna rally
- That real shaking is being mixed with the fake mirrored left-hand clip to confuse people.
Commenters are already catching it: In the debate, people noted: "Seems like the right hand is paralysed" and "This clip is the reverse of the former one posted earlier"— pointing out the flip trick.
Verdict:
1. Left-hand claim = FALSE / Mirrored edit.
2. Right-hand tremor at Kaduna rally = TRUE, documented today, but that is a health tremor discussion, not a protocol breach.
THE GREAT YOUTH DROP:
Where did 7.2M youths go?
@inecnigeria 2023: Youth 37.06M (39.65%) was largest.
INEC 2026: Youth 29.78M (28.79%) now second.
Middle age now 43.2M (41.83%).
Ageing may explain in parts, but #INEC should publish Age Migration Audit.
- how many aged out,
- how many deleted by #ABIS,
- age breakdown of new 10.7M voters.

There are news reports you shouldn't just believe until you have verified them. This is one of them!
My good friend, #FrancisDuru, passed on last night. I was praying to hear his voice, but the daughter picked up the call:
Me: Hello
She: Good morning, sir
Me: Good morning, ma'am (her voice, like someone who had cried all night, calm but faint)
Me: Please, what I just saw- is it true?
She: Yes, sir
Me: Oh my God, oh no, a good guy. When did this happen?
She: Last night, sir.
Well, this is definitely one loss- too much. Oh God, save our good people.
Me: Please send me the address
She: Okay, sir
In seconds, the address arrived!
Dear Francis Duru, you lived a wonderful life and impacted many. To live in the hearts of those you love is not to die—Adieu, dear friend and brother.
Approximately 140 million Nigerians (63% of the population) live below the poverty line according to the World Bank. Since 2023, the poverty rate increased from 56% to 63%, pushing millions more into hardship.
Additionally, the United Nations Development Programme reports that 17.9 million more Nigerians fell into multidimensional poverty between 2021 and 2024.

Where are Nigeria’s registered voters concentrated?
@inecnigeria, at its 6th October 2026 Press Conference marking 100 days to the first ballot, provided an update on Nigeria’s voter register.
INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, announced that the national register now stands at 103,428,715 registered voters, following the completion of the three-phase Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and the final biometric clean-up. The exercise recorded over 10.7 million new registrations.
