Dear Jewish friends,
I am sorry.
I am not sorry because Jewish homes were vandalized and spray painted, antisemites will do that.
I am not sorry because protesters keep chanting support for Hamas, antisemites will do that.
I'm not sorry that they mark Jewish homes with upside down red triangles, antisemites will do that.
I'm sorry that nobody will protect you, so you have no choice but to volunteer in security groups to protect yourselves.
I am sorry that your friends believe the Islamic Republic over you, who they've known their whole lives, so you have no choice but to lean on each other.
I am sorry that threat of another Holocaust never subsides.
I am sorry that they want to destroy the only Jewish state in the world AND make it unsate to be here, so you feel like you're running out of places to run.
I am sorry that you feel you have to ask or wonder whether the people you trusted would hide you.
I'm sorry that it's been 2,000 years and the oldest and longest form of persecution is still cast in doubt.
I am sorry that you know this pain deep in your bones and every day you still have to prove to the world that it exists and it's happening.
I'm sorry that they see it and still say that can't see it.
I'm sorry that no matter how bad it gets, the world's response is forever, "but what about..."
8 months ago, I promised that people would wake up, turn around, and apologize. Most of all, I am sorry that I don't know if that's true any more.

I am very disappointed in the decision made by the City of Ottawa. Nobody should be allowed to scare people into canceling an Israel Independence Ceremony. Add security, take precautions. Do not simply cancel the event. I ask Ottawa to reconsider.

The world Media has a moral obligation to share this.
The reason why the October 7th massacre happened was because Israel was under pressure for years, from World powers to Tolerate terror groups on their doorstep, the pressure was the result of public opinion in those countries, opinions which were shaped by journalists who pushed false narratives, downplaying Palestinian Terror attacks and blaming Palestinian suffering on Israel.
It's important to note that Israel always had a policy of preemptively striking their enemies in order to protect the state of Israel, that's what they did in June 1981 when they bombed the Iraqi Osirak Nuclear reactor, and then again in September 2007 when they Bombed the Nuclear reactor in Deir al zor Syria.
(I intentionally left out the six-day war because it was pretty clear that a war was imminent, the only question was who was going to fire the first shot)
When it came to Hamas their hands were tied because of World opinion, and this New liberal rule of a proportionate Response in conflict, a rule that the world never had, and if it were to be followed in WW2 the Allies would lose to the Axis powers.
The number of civilian casualties in Germany that were caused by Allied bombing ranged between 350,000 to 500 thousand people!
The minimum amount of civilian casualties in Japan that were caused by Allied raids is 333,000, of that only two-thirds, were caused by the Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki which leaves us with a total of civilian 100,000 deaths from other raids (which includes 80,000 deaths by the firebombing of Tokyo, and another 20,000 from other raids across Japanese Cities.
War is hell, we all know that ,we knew that then as we know it now, but at that time it was self-understood that America and its allies had a Moral duty to protect their own civilians before protecting the civilians of their enemies, furthermore, the United States entered the war in WW2 after the attack on Pearl harbor, and in case you know Zero History, Pearl Harbor was a military installation.
Somehow, when it comes to Israel the rules change, why? Well because the Palestinians are terrorizing Israel because they are oppressed and that's what oppressed people do (correction, there are many oppressed people in the world, and most of them don't send their kids to blow themselves up)
Another claim is that Gaza is under an Israeli blockade, correction, it's under an Israeli and Egyptian blockade, but hay, most Antisemites are not necessarily educated and you can't expect them to understand such a deep concept called a Map.
its also impotent to note that even if Israel would be led by evil people, it would still be in their own best interest to make peace with the Palestinians, war is After all bad for the economy, and just makes everyone's lives harder, Israelis would rather sit by the beach then have war.
Finally, there is the claim that they stole someones homeland, so here is a fun fact, there was no Palestinian state between 1948 and 1967 when Egypt controlled Gaza and Jordan controlled the West Bank.
In the PLO charter written in 1964, the PLO clearly stated that they have no claim to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan nor do they have any claims to the Egyptians!
Somehow the borders of the ancient state of Palestine always followed the Modern state of Israel.
Rant over, My next rant will follow when Mexico starts firing Rockets at the United States, after all they ceded 55% of their territory in February the second 1848 when they signed the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.
I have no idea why I need to do the Job of a journalist, I mean, I was able to write the above information without a formal education, I bearly passed the New York State High School exam, and I was only one semester in college.

Why are there even places called ārefugee campsā in Gaza? And why are two thirds of the people living in Gaza, who were born there and lived there their entire lives, called ārefugeesā from a war that ended more than seven decades ago? The answers to these question unlock the core of the conflict. Here they are (Part 1; Part 2 in the first comment):
1.The 20th century has been marked by a transition from empires to states. We begin the 20th century when much of the world is divided between empires. We end it when much of the world is divided between states. When lucky, those states were based on the self determination of a people who share a common history, language, ethnicity, background religion and connection to a territory. (Zionism emerged in this context based on the idea of self determination for the Jewish people in the only territory to which they were ever connected as a people). When unlucky those new states were artificially created by receding empires drawing boundaries, forcing different peoples to share one state, leading almost always to civil war, dictatorship, or both. This transition has been bloody. It involved two world wars and numerous regional and civil wars. In the bloody process of empires receding and new states emerging to replace them, tens of millions of people were displaced, fleeing across newly created borders, typically to new countries with an ethnic makeup similar to their own. This was true of Hindus and Muslim, Ukrainians, Poles and Germans, Bulgarians, Greeks and Turks and Arabs and Jews. This was not unique.
2.What was unique is that one group only of refugees from that time and those wars were allowed to maintain themselves as endless refugees in anticipation of one day winning a war they had lost. Those were the Arab refugees from the war of 1948, later to be known as Palestinians. All other refugee groups, except the Palestinians, were presented with a clear message: āitās tough, itās tragic, move onā. There was a clear understanding that in the most fundamental sense there is no going back - not in place and not in time (thus, there was no such thing as āa right of returnā). To seek to go back would mean endless war. And so the message was forward looking and future facing. Tens of millions of refugees and displaced persons, among them millions of Jews, would build new lives in the new countries to which they fled.
3.Except Palestinians. The war that the Arabs of the land and the surrounding countries waged to prevent a Jewish state from emerging and gaining independence failed to achieve its goals. Despite the violent onslaught of 1947-49, Israel emerged as a sovereign state. But the Arabs of the land, sustained by broader Arab support, refused to accept this outcome. They proceeded to undo it through a variety of means, including repeated wars, economic boycotts, international condemnations and a complete refusal of the refugees themselves to be settled, as it would effectively mean accepting that the war was over.
4.To that end of keeping the war of 1948 alive until its goal of undoing the Jewish state could be achieved, a temporary agency established to resettle the refugees - UNRWA (initially called REWA, but the Arabs insisted on the letters UN so that it would appear to enjoy international legitimacy) - was hijacked by the Arab refugees. As a result of this hijacking UNRWA effectively became a Palestinian entity devoted singularly to sustaining and stoking the idea that uniquely among the worldās refugees, Palestinians donāt need to move on and can keep insisting on āreturnā, both in space and in time, to a time when there was no Israel. UNRWA thus became the mechanism by which the Jewish people alone were denied the right to to consider their hard won self-determination and sovereign statehood as a done deal.

You probably heard the news regarding Shani Louk.
I do - however - want to explain to you what happened.
This is Shani, by the way, 23 years old. A German-Israeli. She went to Nova music festival for a party.
Sheās the one who was filmed on Saturday laying face down on a pickup truck. Naked. Her leg terribly broken and dislocated.
The crowd was seen spitting on her, poking her body. She was proudly paraded through Gaza.
In recent days, the IDF conducted missions in the north part of Gaza and the area surrounding the border.
Parts of Shaniās skull were found. She was partly beheaded.
After lab and DNA tests a panel of experts reached a conclusion that she was murdered and a formal message was delivered to her family.
She could have been your sister, your daughter, she could have been you.
Shaniās body is still being held by Hamas in Gaza along with 228 other hostages. The Red Cross is still not allowed to see them, no information regarding their condition was shared.
