In a 100-person randomized trial, doing that 3 days a week for 4 weeks lowered systolic pressure about 9 points more than in people who didn't.
Save this one.
Four weeks of wall squats reduced systolic blood pressure by nearly 10 points in adults with high blood pressure.
Researchers then compared continuing three sessions weekly with reducing to two, one, or none for another month. Systolic pressure remained roughly 7 mmHg below starting levels in the once- and twice-weekly groups. Continuing three sessions weekly produced the greatest reduction of about 14 mmHg. In those who stopped completely, blood pressure moved back toward baseline.
This fits with a previous analysis of randomized trials that identified isometric exercise, which involves holding a muscle contraction, as an effective way to lower resting blood pressure.
What interests me is the practical question - how much of an exercise benefit can we preserve when we temporarily have less time? This study suggests that reducing the frequency can retain part of the benefit for up to a month.

🚨 Bexar County says it won't brief the press on its emergency ballot bins until Election Day.
Brand new scanners jammed at at least seven early voting sites in San Antonio.
One pollworker says some jams took three to four hours to fix. Voters watched their ballots go into a bin instead of the machine.
The county's own training slides told judges to rescan those ballots on site. The Texas Secretary of State's handbook says to keep them separate and send them to central count.
Two election judges say the instructions changed in the middle of early voting.
Voters have no way to check whether their ballot was ever scanned. The county turned down an interview.
This is the Paxton Senate race in Texas' fourth-largest county. Show us the reconciliation logs now, not after the results.

Several people have been beaten to death in the basement in Borshchagovka over the past month, - Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytruk.
According to him, the deceased are registered as missing persons, and this is happening in a hundred other similar torture sites throughout Ukraine.
"People are being kidnapped and tortured. Some are sold to military units, others to relatives. Those who are weaker simply die from torture and the conditions of their detention. This is how the entire "mobilization" system is currently operating."

A federal judge just dismissed charges against two former FBI officials accused of lying to Congress about Hunter Biden’s laptop.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui called the investigation into former officials Nikki Floris and Bradley Benavides, rushed, overly political, and full of serious mistakes, describing it as clear “weaponization.”
He says the case was ordered and closely watched by FBI Director Kash Patel and filed just before the midterms, even though the alleged lies happened years earlier.

A very tragic crash with a private jet once again
Before this crash the Learjet 60 was had fatal odds per trip of 1 in 1.1 million
To compare a good commercial airline like Delta has a 1 in 25 million odds, many airlines never crashed though so the real odds are even lower like 1 in 40 million trips maybe
So the Learjet 60 was already 40x less safe than commercial airliners
That's something I keep repeating about private jets, they're simply not as safe as flying commercial because:
- pilots require less flight hours
- private aviation is less regulated
- smaller airports with less or no instrument landing systems (ILS)
- smaller planes are more affected by weather (in this case icing)
The Learjet 60 now has fatal odds of 1 in 800,000 which is still about double as safe as the Cessna Citation (one of the most common private jets)
Most Gulfstreams still have flawless safety records though, G500/G600, G550, G650/G700/G800 never crashed, so if you are boarding a private jet anytime soon, I'd say go with them!

Blue states generally have higher household costs than red states. The comparisons reviewed here show:
. Residential electricity prices are 55% higher
. Gasoline 18% higher
. Modeled grocery costs 4% higher
. Shelter costs 52% higher.
Gasoline, electricity, grocery, and housing prices are higher in Blue states due to a combination of higher taxes, regulatory burdens, and levies.

If continued, this will have very predictable (and disastrous) results in coming years, and a few conversations with pastors in deep blue cities / states trying to build churches, pastor people, and raise Christian families will help you realize it.
