Excellent news!
Delighted to be elected to the Home Affairs Select Committee which oversees policing, border control, counter-terrorism & the Home Office. This will help ensure Telford's public safety concerns are heard at the highest level. I'm excited to get to work & make a real difference.

Taxes are at a 70 year high. You know you and your family are worse off under the Conservatives.

Dear Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Lid, Aldi, Waitrose, Morrisons, and all other stores that have self checkout. You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkout now. The lady checking receipts at the exit was stopping everyone. I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already 🛒 filled my cart 🛒 emptied my cart 🛒 scanned the items 🛒refilled my cart and so I just skipped the exit line and left. I heard her saying "umm - Excuse me " as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store. You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be. I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you. • If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's vour problem not mine. • Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities. YOU DON'T PAY ME TO SCAN MY OWN SHOPPING. YOU DON'T GIVE ME STAFF DISCOUNT FOR WORKING FOR YOU. Signed ....All of us These are jobs that are needed to have for young and old ……………………… Copied and pasted, because I agree 100%. SPREAD IT AROUND

The speed of development of vaccines has been breathtaking - and whilst it shouldn’t really need saying, demonstrates the almost incalculable value of a strong University sector and wider science base. Thank you to the researchers from post docs to Profs who did this work.
Today marks an important milestone in the fight against #COVID19. Interim data show the #OxfordVaccine is 70.4% effective, & tests on two dose regimens show that it could be 90%, moving us one step closer to supplying it at low cost around the world>> bit.ly/oxford-vaccine-result…

In response to @MattHancock claim that Nurses had a 'very significant' pay rise recently, my colleague had a go calculating the scale of losses that the NHS staff have had under @Conservatives since 2010. Here is the result: – at Chesterfield, England

Agree why are they ONLY testing people who been in contact with confirmed cases?
I understand approach of gvmt - CMO and GVSA have been impressive. But I still don’t understand lack of testing. If you’ve had mild virus, you need to know you’ve had it. Then you can look after / visit relatives, get back to work etc. Usual caveat - I’m not an expert. Thoughts?
