The thing that most excites me about this ad is that they brought back depth, shadow, gradients, fun! The overly flat design era is hopefully coming to an end 🤞
Wouldn’t it be cool if building a website felt like working in your favorite design tool? With Framer, it is.

Very impressive. Just tried it with some tough coding challenges that every other model struggled with. Sonnet solved it perfectly without any bugs, and even added a few extras (indexes on columns that I wanted to query, preloading data to avoid N+1 queries)
Thrilled to introduce Claude 3.5 Sonnet—our most intelligent model yet. This is the first release in our 3.5 model family. Sonnet now outperforms competitor models on key evaluations, at twice the speed of Claude 3 Opus and one-fifth of the cost. The team pulled together something really special here. Try it for free at Claude dot ai

Sounds like a simple crud app. Impressive that AI can build this but I don’t think this is where the value is. Editing code is much more difficult than creating green field code. That’ll be the true test of these AI coders What do you all think?
Replying to @deedydas
The app I asked to be built was a version of an internal tool in Google called Dory used for Q&A in big presentations where people could login and post questions, some users could upvote and downvote them, and you could answer questions. This was not a simple app.

Every day I dislike Apple more. Never thought they'd be so petty
This is the post Apple cited when banning the Epic Games Store from competing with the iOS App Store under Europe's new DMA law. Criticism of Apple = untrustworthiness, in Apple leadership's bleak vision of their future relationship with app developers.

My problem with Tenet wasn’t the incomprehensible bits. It’s that the characters are not fleshed out. I didn’t really care about them which makes it 1000x harder to care about the experience
Christopher Nolan says TENET is "not all comprehensible" but you're "slightly missing the point" if you think his movies are just puzzles to be solved. “If you are experiencing my film, then you are getting it. I feel like where people have experienced frustrations with my narratives in the past is sometimes I think they are slightly missing the point. It’s not a puzzle to be unpacked but an experience to be had, preferably in a movie theater but also at home...You’re not meant to understand everything in ‘Tenet.' It’s not all comprehensible." Similar happened to me on a new medication. Wasn't feeling well. Lethargic. Watch notified me my resting heart rate had been slowly going up by about 20 bpm since over the course of a few days. Stopped taking the pill and heart rate went down over the next few days
Been a bit under the weather lately. I was resting in bed yesterday when my Apple Watch noticed my resting heart rate was high It kept climbing, ended up going to the ER w/ chest pain. HR was ~160 when I got there. Might not have went if it wasn’t for my Apple Watch

I'm slowly starting to have a bit more free time since having our little 4 month old Ada So last night I decided to make a new landscape in @UnrealEngine with @quixeltools megascans. Let me know what you think!

Yarn or regular old npm? It used to be that npm had issues all the time and yarn came to save the day. Is that still the case or is npm on par with yarn? Asking because we are thinking of moving from yarn to npm for @luckyframework

Yesterday evening I did a lighting exercise in Unreal Engine as practice for making my own game. This has been a really fun hobby so far and I think this turned out fairly well!

Nice video showing Lucky’s unique approach to HTML and data rendering and the benefits you get from using Crystal to generate views!

I *love* how concise and simple the screencast is. Also shows the power of using Crystal for HTML in Lucky. You get cool features like named slots for free

I’m SO excited for this. Starts out simple, but my hope is that eventually we can capture and expose enough info that you rarely need to puts debug or use pry
Coming soon to Lucky: Breeze. Breeze will let you inspect requests, queries, operations and more while developing your app. Here are some work in progress shots of what it looks like. This will work out of the box for all Lucky apps
