If a disease was 100% fatal and the vaccine was 10% fatal, it would be ethical to mandate it.
If a disease was 90% fatal and the vaccine was 10% fatal, it would be ethical to recommend it, but not to mandate it.
If a disease is 5% fatal and the vaccine is 10% fatal, it would be insane to even recommend it.
We mandated a covid vaccine with an unknown fatality rate to defeat a disease with a 0.25% mortality rate. That is just bat-shit crazy.
It’s too bad AI didn’t take off 10-15 years earlier, it’d be cool to see the magnificent imperative procedural jQuery it would’ve spit out.
