Long bonnet. Sweeping curves. A 3.4 litre twin cam straight six producing 160bhp. Launched in 1948, the Jaguar XK120 became the world’s fastest production car of its time, with prototypes reaching 120mph. Built from 1948 to 1954, it remains one of the most seductive British sports cars ever made. Some legends still turn heads. 🐆 #Jaguar #XK120 #petervirdee #britishluxury #speed #cars

Thought of the day ,Failure is not the end of your story; it is a lesson placed on your path. Take its wisdom, leave its weight, and keep walking with faith. The past may shape you, but it does not own you. When you trust the Divine and rise with humility, even your hardest moments can become stepping stones towards purpose.

To the next generation of Sikhs never shrink your identity to fit into the world. Let your Dastaar stand high not only upon your head, but within your mindset: a crown of courage, discipline and seva. Walk humbly, rise fearlessly, and remember the Guru’s light within you is greater than any darkness before you. Be proud of your Sikhi you carry a legacy created not to rule over humanity but to stand up for it.

Power is temporary. Position is borrowed. The only legacy that survives is the good we do for others. True leadership is not standing above people, but standing beside them guided by seva, courage and Sarbat da Bhala. Let faith be our compass and humanity our politics. 🙏

Punjab cannot afford another generation lost to drugs. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Social Justice & Empowerment which had 11 opposition MPs, in its report “Drug Abuse among Young Persons: Problems and Solutions”, estimated over 66 lakh people in Punjab affected by substance use which is 33% of the total population of the state, including the horrifying fact that 7 lakh children aged 10–17 years are affected by Drug addiction. These are not just statistics. These are Punjab’s sons, daughters and families. I strongly condemn the cowardly attack on Sh. @RavneetBittu 's cavalcade yesterday while he was on his way to join the Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra. Stones, eggs and other objects were hurled at the convoy and vehicles were damaged. Such intimidation will not stop BJP. In fact, it makes our resolve stronger. The @BJP4Punjab Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra will travel through all 117 constituencies because this fight cannot be fought from air-conditioned offices. It must be fought at every doorstep, in every village and every mohalla. @narendramodi @AmitShah @BJP4India @BLSanthosh @Manthriji

It genuinely hurts me to see a faith as profound and forward thinking as Sikhi reduced to petty arguments, outrage and self appointed policing. Centuries before “environmental responsibility” became fashionable language, Gurbani reminded us: air is our Guru, water our father, and earth our great mother. It taught us equality, honest living, service, compassion, courage and responsibility. The tragedy is not that the teachings are unclear. The teachings are remarkably clear. The tragedy is that we sometimes bend them to suit our egos, our interests, our pockets and our prejudices. Being Sikh is not simply something we announce. It places a responsibility upon us: to think before we speak, to seek truth before judgement, and to live the values we are so quick to demand from others. We inherited extraordinary wisdom. Perhaps the question is no longer whether Sikhi is advanced enough for the modern world, but whether we have advanced enough to understand Sikhi. Just a thought PV

Sikhi has never been afraid of dialogue. The Sikh Rehat Maryada is clear: no person is barred from entering a Gurdwara because of religion, nationality or caste, provided the sanctity and discipline of Guru da Ghar are respected. And history gives us an even deeper lesson. Guru Gobind Singh Ji wrote the Zafarnama directly to Aurangzeb, condemning injustice, broken oaths and abuse of power. Yet communication did not end. Aurangzeb later invited Guru Sahib to meet, and Guru Sahib agreed. The meeting never took place because Aurangzeb died before it could happen. The lesson is simple: Dialogue is not endorsement. Engagement is not surrender. And truth does not become weaker because it is spoken face to face. Sikhi is strong enough to engage with anyone, question anyone and still remain completely true to itself.

The Guru’s door is open to all, no Instagram page has the authority to close it. There is little more I need to say about the RSS chief’s Dr Mohan Bhagwat visit to Khalsa Jatha Gurdwara. He came to pay his respects before Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Hospitality is not endorsement, and dialogue is not surrender. To the pop up organisations and self appointed “Sikh police”: creating a social media page does not give anyone authority over Sikhi, the Sangat or the Guru’s house. Foul language, personal abuse and ambush tactics do not represent courage and they certainly do not reflect the teachings of our Gurus. I remain willing to engage respectfully with recognised Sikh institutions, properly constituted Gurdwara leadership, credible journalists and any member of the Sangat approaching in good faith. What I will not do is submit to a trial by anonymous accounts or respond to manufactured outrage. You may continue with the noise. I will continue with dialogue, seva and action. My faith is not so fragile that it fears a conversation. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

Deeply anguished by the outrage expressed by a small section over Shri Mohan Bhagwat Ji’s visit to a historic Gurdwara in London. He came as a devotee, offered Rumala Sahib, prayed, partook of Karah Prasad and interacted with the management on Sikh history and ethos. Our Gurus preached Sarbat da Bhala and welcomed every human being who comes to Guru’s Darbar with faith. Differences, if any, must be resolved through dialogue, not outrage. When Rahul Gandhi visited Sri Darbar Sahib, despite the painful history associated with the Congress and the Sikh genocide of 1984, he was allowed to enter as a devotee, offer prayers and perform seva. As the attached @HTTweets clipping shows, the RSS had clearly recognised Sikhism as a separate religion with a distinct identity which Mohan Bhagwat jee reiterated in Ludhiana in February this year. It was equally painful to see a handful of fringe elements outside the Indian High Commission in London disrespecting our Tricolour & finally reaching the hotel of stay of dignitaries *Sikhs are not Khalistanis, and Khalistanis do not represent Sikhs* The Sikh community has made unparalleled sacrifices for India’s freedom and unity. We are proud Sikhs, proud Punjabis and proud Indians. 🇮🇳 @rssorg @blsanthosh @DrMohanBhagwat @amitshah @narendramodi @HCI_London @UKinIndia hindustantimes.com/cities/ch…

Before you tell someone what their problem is, pause. Respect requires looking inward first. The fault may be yours, or you may simply be blind to the other side. Even when people bite the hand that feeds them, do not be deterred by small, selfish manoeuvres. Life remains beautiful, and leadership means continuing to give. Keep your circle tight. Smooth seas never made a good sailor. There will always be a snake in a suit who calls you a friend while serving another master, where secrets quietly travel and loyalty thins. Learn the lesson without bitterness. Before you point the finger, remember every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. Protect your boundaries, forgive without forgetting, and move forward with clarity.

Discontent is born when the soul forgets to rest in the present, we chase brighter stars, yet overlook the light already in our hands. True wealth lies not in the next horizon, but in breathing deeply, living fully, and giving thanks for the miracle of now.

In an uncertain and unstable world, we must put Canada first. And if that means reviewing our participation in NATO, that’s what we will do.
