Excited to share our work discussing how CNNs and hi-res remotely sensed data can help reveal ecological patterns. Much more coming in this realm coming soon! Manuscript: doi.org/10.1016/j.tree.2019.… Repo: github.com/pgbrodrick/ecoCNN
While a lot of new science keeps us busy inside @Space_Station, important science is being conducted outside the station as well. @NASAJPL payload EMIT hitched a ride on @csa_asc Canadarm2 to its new home where it will study dust composition and its effects on Earth’s climate.

Packing for launch 🧳 EMIT has been loaded into the "trunk" that will travel aboard a SpaceX cargo resupply mission to the @Space_Station. The instrument will map Earth's arid dust source regions, gathering info about particle color & composition as it orbits Earth.

Demo videos now available so you can see what ImgSPEC can do for #openscience. ImgSPEC builds on the @NASAEarthData & @ESA_EO MAAP collaborative platform. ImgSPEC expands MAAP use cases to centralize contributions from users outside of NASA missions. Imgspec.org/ade/
So excited about the ImgSPEC.org user working group demo today! What an amazing team, who has done so much to create a collaborative #OpenScience platform w/ seamless user experience to transition users from local computers to the cloud for working w/ #NASA open data

The new IPCC report is a clear call to action. Our world is changing; only "strong, rapid and sustained reductions" in GHGs will stabilize the climate.
ClimateChange 2021: the Physical Science Basis - provides the most updated physical understanding of the climate system and #climatechange, combining the latest advances in climate science, and multiple lines of evidence. ➡️ bit.ly/WGICC2021 ➡️ bit.ly/WGICC2021PR
