People are thirsty for truth in a sea of competing narratives.
Bitcoin’s entire history is visible for all to see, and there will only ever be 21M BTC.
This is truth.
Start there, and see where it takes you.

I feel a deep sympathy for anyone who lost money in Coldcard exploit. I cant begin to imagine the physical pain I would be in if I lost my stack. But, at the same time, it was also very obviously a result of extreme hubris and is hopefully a wake up call to the dangers of subsuming your entire decision making architecture to an ideology.
Both the developers and the users of Coldcard were almost exclusively “toxic maxi” types whose seething hatred and distrust of governments, shitcoins, and communists was basically their entire personality. All they needed to know that someone else was a perfect, infallible genius is that they shared this ideology; and all they needed to know that someone was a stupid, lying coward was that they didn’t.
This exploit was thus not one of code but of cognition. And its the same one we criticize the progs for constantly. If someone supports gays and trannies and hate white people, progs consider them team prog and will rationalize or completely ignore that they are also a pedophile.
Similarly, if someone hates governments, communists, and shitcoins, they are team Bitcoin maxi and the maxi’s will rationalize or completely ignore that they are a horrible programmer; and vice versa.
“Trust but verify” stopped being a methodology and became a marketing slogan. As long as a brand had the slogan plastered everywhere, they were able to bypass the verification step of the methodology entirely.
Again, no one deserves to lose their BTC, and it would have been far better if they could have realized the LARP without losing their life savings. But unfortunately, this is where we are. The only option now is to take it on the chin, learn from the experience, and rebuild again with a more solid foundation; take this as an exercise in anti fragility, improving from failure just like Bitcoin itself does.
I haven't told the full story yet, but I came to the same conclusion back in May 2025 when I started doing an audit of `coldcard/firmware`.
I wanted to figure out conclusively where the CC RNG was getting sourced from, and found that it backed up to some shady library called libngu (github.com/switck/libngu) that had literally 6 stars on github and was maintained solely by a pseudoanon tranny.
I knew from past experience that linking to libsecp256k1 from Python was pretty easy, which seemed to be the stated purpose of the library use, and so I was confused about why it was there.
I sent a report to the CC team that I had doubts about whether the true RNG was actually in use, and pointed out that the hardcoded yasmarang constants in libngu were sloppy. I advised they rip the whole thing out and link against libsecp256k1 directly.
I was told that if something was wrong "we'd already know about it by now" and that everything was properly configured for the real boards.
I didn't follow up rigorously, which was a horrible mistake on my part.
There are only 1M bitcoin left to be mined over the next century, and the market is letting strategy acquire coins at a pace that will give it 1M coins within the next year.
Insanity.
As always, bitcoin is either trending towards infinity or zero in fiat.
Choose wisely.
The AI bitcoin maximalists are going to be a force to be reckoned with.
Just wait until there are millions of American HODLs, Gigis, Saylors, Saifs, and Hodlonauts spewing memes into the AI hive mind creating a vast AI pleb army.
Things could get weird(er).
Bessent just called Gavin Newsom a sociopathic effeminate retard to the global elite and press.
I support this message.
Scott Bessent Slams Gavin Newsom: "Sparkle Beach Ken"
@SecScottBessent just ended @CAgovernor Gavin Newsom's presidential campaign at the @WEF conference in #Davos, comparing him to "Sparkle Beach Ken" from the recent "Barbie" movie, throwing in a marvelous shot at #AlexSoros to boot.
Hilarious.
Transcript of Bessent's comments:
=================================
Governor Newsom, who strikes me as Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ken, may be the only Californian who knows less about economics than Kamala Harris.
He's here this week with his billionaire sugar daddy, Alex Soros, and Davos is a perfect place for a man who, when everyone else is on lockdown, when he was having people arrested for going to church, he was having $1,000 a night meals at the French Laundry. And I'm sure the California people won't forget that.
I can tell my message to Governor Newsom is the Trump administration is coming to California. We are going to crack down on waste, fraud, and abuse. I was told he was asked to give a speech on his signature policies, but he's not speaking.
Because what have his economic policies brought? Outward migration from California, a gigantic budget deficit. The largest homeless population in America, and the poor folks in the palisades who had their homes burned down.
He is here hobnobbing with the global elite while his California citizens are still homeless. Shame on him. He is too smug, too self-absorbed, and too economically illiterate to know anything.
=================================
I'm still laughing at the "Sparkle Beach Ken" reference. It's perfect.
Glorious.

What if we get 6-8 weeks of pump followed by 6-8 months of sideways for years?
“It’s going to bore you to death forever, Laura.”
The “fuck you, I’m not selling” part of my brain has been activated.
Haven’t felt this since the $15k bottom.
If I were a market maker and wanted to clear the decks for a pump in the coming week(s), I’d sweep the stops of shorts on a Saturday night.
Almost six years later, and this one is aging pretty well.
There’s still time to beat out the millionaires and billionaires to become a whole coiner, but it’s getting harder by the day.
How much longer until these amounts will actually correlate to top 1% status?

Feeling down about not owning enough bitcoin?
Remind yourself that it will take nearly 40 years to mine the last bitcoin.
Our minds cannot fathom the value of a single bitcoin.

What if the purpose of bitcoin is to remove the monetary premium from gold in order to unlock the element's full potential as an industrial commodity?
The first two weeks of the Trump admin have been like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares.
They’ve gone in the kitchen to see how the soup is made and found spoiled food, cockroaches and rats scurrying for cover, and maggot filled waste bins.

Brad Garlinghouse of $XRP Ripple is a cheap imitation scammer compared to NYC elites and real estate moguls Trump is used to dealing with. He very likely smelled the scam a mile away.
