My Bitcoin story is pure luck.
First I luckily worked my ass off to earn a high income.
Then I luckily spent all my free time learning about the history of money and distributed systems.
Then I luckily took all my money and invested it into bitcoin.
Then luckily I convinced my wife to live on 25% of our income while we put the rest into bitcoin.
Then I luckily didn’t go on vacation or buy nice things for years.
Then luckily everyone laughed at me / told me how wrong I was
Then I luckily sold my car and drove a shitty fucking moped to stack more sats.
Then I luckily suffered through multiple 80% drawdowns.
Then I luckily doubled down at the bottoms.
Then I luckily persisted for a decade.
Pure luck all of it.
Thank god I’m lucky.
If I wasn’t I’d be totally fucked.
New generative ai by chatgpt is impressive, @edzitron washed like always.

@SenWarren's anticrypto army (@molly0xFFF @SilvermanJacob, @CryptoCriticPod ) are responsible for the dems losing every branch of the election. You can see it at devcon this week, all the dems that are making the world a better/more free place that just wanted to be left alone.

E-cash schemes that do not include protection or mitigation for wallet theft at the protocol level assume them at the implementation level.
Shocker, the people that missed crypto, metaverse, are now missing AI. They for some reason won't even take 2 minutes to try it for free, out of principle or something? Genuinely curious I can't get an answer.
The tether is pumping Bitcoin conspiracy is finally true. Ironically funded by the fiat ponzi. 😂
Tether🧡#Bitcoin
Starting this month, Tether will regularly allocate up to 15% of its net realized operating profits towards purchasing Bitcoin. These Bitcoin shall be considered on top of the minimum reserves assets that 100% back tether tokens.

Spent all my cash before flight out of country in a few hours so I wasn't bagholding currency. Found a good coffeeshop before leaving but they dont take credit cards. I asked if could order through grab, nope only shopeepay. If you don't see a need for crypto I can't help you.
People who claim to know what's going to win, pow, pos, or fiat are forgetting the one free lunch in investing.

Just in from the White House OSTP - “Crypto-asset mining that installs equipment to use vented methane to generate electricity for operations is more likely to help rather than hinder U.S. climate objectives.” @thetrocro @jyn_urso @DSBatten

So, let’s get this straight. The Wall Street Journal, a company worth $5 billion with 3.5 million readers, says that #Bitcoin, an asset worth $575 billion and over 80 million users, is a ‘failed experiment’.
I guess sometimes stats don’t help a story.
When crypto bears are euphorically quitting their day job bottom may already be in.
quick clarification bc a few people took my sabbatical announcement to mean i'm stepping back from crypto stuff. crypto research and @web3isgreat wasn't my job nor has it been a source of burnout, and i'll be continuing that even as i take a break from full-time software dev!
Thanks for ghosting me guys real classy. @US_FDA rather than just saying you don't advise people to get this vaccine, can you give any suggestions to anyone still suffering with heart problems 6+ months out?
The worst thing about this idea is that it would immediately collapse the us dollar. They can put a floor because they can print infinite dollars. They can't put a ceiling since the amount of bitcoins is limited. Think critically about this and you'll realize what you're missing.

6/ The worst thing about this hypothetical Fed peg is that it would validate their risky (and often fraudulent) behavior. IMO, the whales would be thrilled to exit at $45k. It would be the largest moral hazard event since 2008/09, but still smaller than the GFC bailout.
