A message from The King to the people of Australia following the antisemitic terrorist attack at Bondi Beach.

A statement from the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Greater Manchester.

ALT We share the horror and sadness at the attack on Jewish families as they gathered to celebrate Hanukkah in Bondi Beach. In Greater Manchester we know the pain and disbelief that follows such appalling incidents, and our thoughts are with all of those affected. Antisemitism has no place in our society. We are working closely with @gmpolice and community partners to ensure people feel safe and supported during Hanukkah and beyond.

The festival of Chanukah would usually be a moment of celebration and light for our Jewish fans and their communities around the world.
After today’s appalling terrorist attack in Sydney, it has become a far more sombre occasion.
Our thoughts are with those immediately affected in Sydney. We stand with them, as we do with the Jewish community in Manchester, following the events at Heaton Park Synagogue earlier this year, and those around the world who are marking Chanukah.
