There is always an issue with that kind of gap.
I work in IT (AD), and I've met too many people who were good but not good enough to be helpful, creating resentment.
And it can be predicted easily. I ask for help, and the guy looks at the problem and asks me to solve it so he can work on it 😅
So, I explain that the crux of the job IS solving the problem. Then, some fight ensues where the guy mostly says, "But I never learned how to do it." I replied that I didn't either. Then I have to solve the problem, and the guy returns with, "You see, you knew. If you didn't learn how to solve this, you wouldn't be able to do it". From then on, everything you can say is insulting one way or another, as it boils down to "I am better than you at this."
So, you try to say that you've some experience, that you were lucky.
But it happens that you have an insane amount of experience on many topics and an insane amount of luck.
Then people start to realize you are much better than them at the job but don't want to admit it. And that fosters an awful environment.
Then, you naturally pick the most challenging problems so others can solve the easier ones.
In an ideal world, people are happy (to each to his capabilities).
In the real world, everyone struggles. You too. The big difference is that you've no support, and others look up to you for help. So, you start helping by removing roadblocks. Until you reach the point where you are not doing your job as you should. So, you begin denying some requests.
People are surprised and ask, "Why don't you help me for 5 minutes, because without you, it will take me hours?". And you've to explain that you are solving problems that are way more difficult and need to be solved. And when you're giving 5 minutes here and there, you're not doing your job. And there is nobody that can help.
And then, they feel insulted and reply aggressively.
That's why it's best to have teams where employees are homogenous regarding problem-solving skills. Too great of a difference and resentment will install.
One way around that is to have clear rules about who does what and provide time for support while ensuring everyone understands it's a privilege to get that help.

Erathostenese observed that in the sky, objects were round. He posited that the Earth would follow.
He then derived its radius and the distance between poles.
The computed distance matched the measured distance. That was very precise (for the time).
He also understood penumbra and umbra. Small objects, like a pole, have a very diffuse penbra, so diffuse that it's invisible in practice. But the shadow, the place where no light hits, is very visible.
His assumptions about shape of Earth and parallelism of rays were validated. Both a simple model and with very good prective capabilities.
It's the basics of the scientific method:
Observe
Make assumptions
Do a prediction
Validate your prediction
We use faciers words like "hypothesis should be falsifiable" and "tests should be independantant of observation", but that's for big boys 😂

Then I don't understand you. Social sciences and anthropology explain exactly those things.
The more a society is advanced, the less tribal it is and the more rules are universals and it's linked to average intelligence.
Even TIMSS and PISA are good predictors/proxy.
The majority is obeying due to police.
The minority here are very religious and still act like shit.
We have a joke "dont let the 98% dictate how you see the 2%" because the press and organisation label them "minority".
We see videos of police overseas who just slap people.
Here, they can't.
Also, your culture is different from our. We like concise and succint arguments that appeal to logic, you like long and eloquent discourse that is loud.
We believe that everyone should be treated equal and pardon others, you believe that not protecting your honor is weakness. So, you perceive us as weak necause we don't hurt you as a response.
The norms aren't the same and aren't compatible.
Sharia law dictate that if you steal when the occupant is at home, it's less grave than if he is outside home. In fact, the later is punished more severely.
Western laws dictate nothing of the sort, but disallow defending your bellonging. It's strongly punished to do justice yourself.
You know it, some of us know it.
Different people, different cultures, different norms and even different cognition profile.
Here is an example: if an Arabic complain about the bell of the Church being too loud, the bell stop ringing. It did happen in each and every european countey.
If an European complain the call to prayer is too loud, in the best case, he will be insulted and beaten up and the calls will not end.
God made us like that.

You can experience it very easily.
If I say 《Did you notice that list of grey codes are isomorphic to an hamiltonian path on an hypercube?》to someone with 130IQ, he will tell me 《Yes, and?》.
If you say that to a 80IQ, it's similar to using an invented jargon.
If you say that 100IQ, you've to explain half the words and at least do a drawing. You should not expect them to check the analogy. But they can check it if you present it simply.
For 80IQ, time required is multiple lofetimes.
For 100IQ, time required would be 10 minutes.
For 130IQ, a few seconds.
Just because there is a few things to unpack.
The same with "oblong", those words are shortcuts you've to expand.
Of course, on X, everyone will claim to understand the sentence in seconds 😂
People do not seriously believe that everyone can learn anything. They cope with that due to Ego and virtue signaling. By saying it's by choice they don't understand everything and that other do the same, they don't put down others (or raise themselves), but put down people who are more intelligent.
