The crypto x ai bears are missing the whole point. The bull case for x402: - digital goods (i.e., data) and services (i.e., SaaS) are often gated behind paywalls or at least a sign up - this adds friction to an agent using these as it goes after a goal - x402 makes everything permissionless and agent-discoverable. agents only need to buy what they’re using. - as agents start to easily discover x402 services, SaaS providers will be incentivized to add their services behind payment gateways to tap into agent distribution - this becomes a massive flywheel — a true permissionless network of everything in the digital world (and eventually will tap into meat space with robotics and meat proxies) - if we do this right it can create an autopilot agent economy that gives us more abundance than we could even imagine Permissionless commercialization + micropayments need crypto.
Might get cancelled for this but I’m very bearish on agentic micropayments.

What a debut for fal Research. Congrats team. Next task: accelerate all video models. DMs open. Be fast or be irrelevant.
Introducing H3 Max, new post-trained video model by fal Research. H3 Max ranks #1 for overall quality, prompt understanding, and aesthetics against leading video models, on both first-party and third-party independent evaluations while generating a 5-second 720p video under 3 seconds. H3 Max is 50% off for the next week, making it the highest quality, fastest and cheapest model for overall video generation tasks.

For the past two weeks, I've been working on a new visual identity for x402, which is an open standard for internet-native payments. I aimed to convey what x402 stands for: an HTTP status code that's finally been given a purpose: A way for AI agents (and anyone else) to pay natively over HTTP without filling forms or making accounts. Essentially, x402 is connecting two worlds that were separated until now. Relied heavily on animations to make the concepts easier to understand. All done thanks to @Figma motion + agent!
Visual direction for the new project I'm working on using @Figma motion.

35M+ transactions have settled over x402. Until now, none of them touched a corporate ledger. As of today, Agents can now make payments via x402 on Ramp with attribution and audit trails built in. This lets Ramp customers: 1. Provision & fund agent wallets 2. Empower agents to buy via x402 on Solana 3. Use the ledgering and spend controls that finance teams expect out of the box Are you a builder who wants to be in our alpha? Reach out via DM or the link below 👇

x402 is inevitable. Every agent is going to need to pay for things. And there will be far more agents than humans.
x402 got written off way too fast and will become one of those things everyone will suddenly rediscover once the right products are built on top of it

@sapiom just raised a $35 million Series A from @dragonflyvc , @Accel , @AnthropicAI and others to help unlock the next trillion agents. The first thing we’re tackling is cost. To make that happen, we are launching three new products today at Sapiom.ai

@youdotcom is adding x402 support to our Web Search API, letting AI agents discover, purchase, and use fresh web data on demand without API keys, subscriptions, or human checkout flows. For trading agents, that means search can now be bought programmatically at the exact moment a decision needs to be made. 🧵

Awesome write up from @fastly today - they are bringing x402 payments to the edge ⚡ fastly.com/blog/automated-pa… This new demo shows how Fastly Compute can enforce payment before a request ever reaches the origin, letting agents pay for APIs and digital resources automatically with @USDC on @Base. A powerful pattern for metered APIs, premium data, crawlers, and machine-to-machine services. – at Parkway Village, KY

In the new AI era, I keep telling software engineers the same thing: Become multi-threaded. Get comfortable with context switching. For years, engineers optimized for “deep focus,” while managers protected their time to keep them in the zone. AI changes that. The best engineers now orchestrate multiple streams of work simultaneously, delegating execution to LLMs while continuously reviewing, steering, and adapting. Context switching is mentally exhausting. But like any skill, it can be trained. Start building it now, and you’ll be unstoppable.
