Stocks are selling off, so this is a good time to remember one of the oldest market sayings:
📈 In a bull market: elevator up, stairs down
📉 In a bear market: elevator down, stairs up
In other words, the dominant trend can persist for a long time, while moves against that trend can be fast and violent.
And history shows just how different bull and bear markets can be.
S&P 500: Every bull and bear market since 1949
🐂 Bull markets:
→ Average 5.3 years
→ Average gain +254%
→ Longest: 12.3 years, +841%
🐻 Bear markets:
→ Average 1.0 year
→ Average decline −31%
→ Worst: 1.4 years, −55%
Bull markets tend to last much longer and build wealth gradually.
Bear markets are usually much shorter, but the declines can happen very quickly.
This is HUGE! Kane (@traderkane) dropped a video yesterday exposing PropFirmMatch for forcing affiliate cookies when you click internal profile or copy-code links (new tab opens normally, original tab gets redirected through their affiliate URL).
Apex @ApexTradeFund has already terminated the relationship effective immediately
Lucid is reportedly looking into it.
PFM says they’re investigating and will issue a full statement within 24 hours.
