Our 2 bridge RNA papers are finally published in @Nature! Check out the incredible CryoEM structures, they're truly beautiful. A years-long rollercoaster ride, it's hard for me to imagine a more exciting project than this. Thank you to @ntperry13, @pdhsu, and our amazing team!
What if we could universally recombine, insert, delete, or invert any two pieces of DNA?
In back-to-back @Nature papers, we report the discovery of bridge RNAs and 3 atomic structures of the first natural RNA-guided recombinase - a new mechanism for programmable genome design

My thoughts exactly. C gives a way better introduction on how the computer and OS actually work beneath one's own program. Also one will appreciate other languages (e.g. C++) way more after learning how complicated it can be to get stuff done in C.

APC fees for almost all life science journals are through the roof in the last few years.
If only the editors of Bioinformatics (@OUPBioinfo), the flagship journal of @iscb, would take a stand against their high APC fees ($3618, even for a 2-page Applications Note)... nature.com/articles/d41586-0…
