“The data shows that these will break for Mary and extend her lead. Despite Sullivan pushing fictitious paths to victory that exclude the voices of thousands of Alaskans, every Alaskan’s vote will be counted, and Mary will win this race.”

Her grandmother was taken from her family at eight. Today, her granddaughter is the first Native American woman elected governor in US history.
In the early 20th century, an eight-year-old Native American girl named Helen was taken from her village in New Mexico by a Catholic priest.
She was put on a train and sent to St. Catherine's Indian School in Santa Fe, more than 100 miles from home.
For five years, she lived away from her family.
Her father once travelled three days by horse and wagon to visit her.
Helen's granddaughter is Deb Haaland.
On November 3, 2026, Haaland was elected governor of New Mexico, becoming the first Native American woman ever elected governor of a US state.
But her journey to this moment was anything but straightforward.
A member of the Laguna Pueblo, Haaland raised her daughter as a single mother. She experienced homelessness, relied on food stamps and made money selling homemade salsa.
She earned her law degree at 45.
In 2018, she became one of the first two Native American women elected to Congress.
In 2021, she became the first Native American to serve as a US Cabinet secretary, taking charge of the Department of the Interior.
The historical irony was extraordinary.
She now headed the very department responsible for overseeing much of the federal government's disastrous policies toward Indigenous peoples.
Rather than sweeping that history under the carpet, Haaland ordered an investigation into America's Indian boarding schools.
The investigation identified 417 schools and documented the deaths of at least 973 Indigenous children.
The real number was almost certainly higher.
She also travelled to Indigenous communities to listen to survivors describe what had happened to them.
And now, at 65, she has won another election and broken another barrier.
The institutions that once tried to destroy Indigenous cultures had failed to destroy them.
At her election victory celebration, Haaland spoke about the road near her grandmother's childhood home.
"And just off this road, my grandmother was taken away to boarding school. Yet we are still here."

Cindy Hyde-Smith is going to be eating a tofu burger and playing slots in Biloxi on January 3rd
Cindy Hyde-Smith is going to represent Mississippi in the United States Senate for the next six years. We believe thousands of votes remain to be counted from dozens of Republican counties, and we are confident those votes will reinforce her path to victory.
Election officials are continuing the normal process of counting outstanding ballots, including absentee ballots. They must have the time to complete that work and ensure every lawful ballot is accurately counted and every Mississippian’s voice is heard.
We expect Democratic lawyers to pull out every stop, and we are prepared. Our focus is on completing the count and returning Cindy Hyde-Smith to the Senate to keep fighting for Mississippi values.

Dan Milstein - DFO Insider - Demidov's contract | Kent called, they wanted to get a deal done. I didn't necessarily like the number [...] Ivan wanted to get a deal done, his instruction to me was that he wants to win for the next 8 or 9 years, And, while he is going to be the highest paid player (for the Habs), he didn't want to be the highest paid player by a mile. And so, in the end, we signed a deal, $9,150,000, that was put together basically in a matter of a week, a week and a half or so. And he's extremely happy. And I asked him the other day, and if he had to redo it again, he'd relive this again. He would take that 9M 150. They have a great thing going in Montreal. Perhaps there's a room for one or two more superstars with the structure of contracts that they have, and so winning's the most important thing. - 11/4 #GoHabsGo #Habs #NHL

NEW BATCH OF VOTES FROM MISSISSIPPI SENATE RACE:
Almost exactly 700 votes just came in.
Scott Colom won the batch ~61-36% and netted almost a 180 votes to give a near 1900 vote lead now.
Another +25% margin.
Again none of these from Hinds County.
The fact that Cindy Hyde-Smith is not winning any of these non Hinds County batches again keeps supporting the analysis that Colom will defeat Hyde-Smith once all the votes are tallied.
NEW BATCH OF VOTES FROM MISSISSIPPI:
Over 2000 votes just came in and Scott Colom just netted almost 600 of those(1300-~700).
Colom winning this batch by nearly 29% point at ~63-34 margins
This expands Coloms lead to over 1700 votes now.
Again every batch of new vote data is confirming the analysis that Scott Colom will defeat Cindy Hyde-Smith in the Mississippi Senate Race
