Let me show you some highlights - 🧵👇
End of a hard, but brief shift, with the moon peeking out to brighten up the disruption today.
Also, a cheeky #signaloftheday for @driverbod125 with E448 looking resplendent.

My version uses my own "Universal Arrow", and Geist Mono for typeface.
This will be public, and the Double Arrow will be private GBR/DFTO/DfT/NR etc.

So! DfT's CR and TM team are aware, and the use of the Double Arrow (RS2, specifically), as part of on review based design proposal is considered Fair Use.
However, If I use it on my public deployment, then yes, it's unauthorised use. But, my own version is fine!
Hey! It worked!
Very pleased that the hours of js/css/html coding worked a charm. You'll get to see to whole thing soon. :)
We're now in Greenwich Mean Time.

Surely easier just to keep a chicken?
PS, web version of "Rail Clock 2", the "Moving Britain, by Design" railway timepiece is getting tested tonight too... 😉

If it's any consolation; I get the same bus every AM shift, and someone new has started getting on the route, much earlier than everyone else. sits in this grumpy guy's usual seat, it has displacement EVERYONE'S usual bus seat and caused chaos at 0537 in the morning. 😂

It's definitely something I'm interested in. I'm keeping a close eye on how Nederlandse Spoorwegen and other rail services in the Netherlands deploy service numbering and service delineation; service number are coming to the Netherlands soon...

I'll forgive them, RA3 isn't wide spread yet.

Excellent question though! 🫡

Ideally, you would want to constrain the use of a display typeface, in favour of RA3, in order to allow for full legibility in the station environment, and a complete digital-station-service handover. I did consider it! But one has to sacrifice design in favour of utility! 🫡
And yes, the Weaver Network map by @GarethDennis is beautiful! And only builds on the case that there should be a fully fledged metro system in Yorkshire. I haven't necessarily commented on it because my area expertise is slim, and I generally comment of more than I need to know!
We can (and should) delineate "𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙮" services from local and regional services. ic should be a brand in and of itself, and yes, should be represented as much on local mapping, such as the Weaver Network map

After this week's @Railnatter, I've had the pleasure of writing up my proposals for an extensive Leeds (and West Yorkshire) Metro for @leeds_exchange - if you want maps, we've got maps! If you want an explanation of repeat station designs, it's here! Are trams good enough? No!
Semi-related question; LNER, would you advocate for removal direct London services to/from Skipton/Bradford in favour of direct IC from Leeds?
I'm not an aircraft guy, but the trail from this casting it's own shadow onto the particulate and atmosphere is pretty cool, if not somewhat scary. I've never seen that before!
