Stunning oversight. Nothing says ‘best-managed’ like record service complaints, plummeting employee morale, & a business model that treats customers as inconveniences. But as long as the operating ratio is lean & the dividends are fat, who needs trivial things like innovation or engagement?

Railroads have funneled $146 billion into Wall Street.. Money made off the backs of workers, stolen from safety, and ripped from the communities they endanger. They cut jobs, gut inspections, and leave the public to deal with the wreckage. And Congress? Bought and paid for. We’ve heard the excuses. The rail lobby spends millions to kill reform, and the politicians wring their hands while multiple derailments go ignored. They’ll hold hearings. They’ll give speeches. But when the lobbyists come knocking, they fall in line. Enough. #Raillabor was never built on waiting for lawmakers to grow a conscience. It was built in the streets, on the picket lines, in the fire of real fights.. Not press conferences. The railroads fear an organized workforce more than any law Congress might pass, and it’s time we remind them why. No more hoping. No more asking.
