#Breaking: the highly acclaimed Report of the High Level Committee on Union State Relations (Justice Kurien Joseph Committee) vanishes from the Tamilnadu government website!
It’s now available only at the Committee website (hlcusr.tn.gov.in/).
You all might remember the hullabaloo caused by @TVKVijayHQ government since the time @BloomsburyIndia published the report. At that time, the Tamil version was available at tn.gov.in. After the copyright was annulled by @CMOTamilnadu, the English version was uploaded too.
Now, both versions are missing in the TN government website.

Who benefits from Tamil Nadu’s aviation fuel tax cut?
The TVK government has reduced VAT on aviation turbine fuel from 29% to 16% at Chennai airport and to just 1% at other airports in Tamil Nadu, aiming to make air travel more affordable.
Yet, with the festival season approaching, fares on routes that usually cost Rs.4,000–Rs.6,000 have surged to Rs.14,000–Rs.15,000, with some reaching Rs.18,000.
1. Did airlines commit to passing on fuel cost savings to passengers by reducing fares?
2. How much annual tax revenue will the state lose?
3. Were airlines given measurable targets for lower fares, new routes or increased flight frequency?
4. What tangible benefits have passengers received?
Reducing fuel costs will support airlines’ growth, but public money must deliver public benefits.
How much tax revenue has Tamil Nadu sacrificed, and what have its people gained in return, especially in terms of lower airfares?

Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay proves, yet again, by his actions that he is scared of @BJP4India and @narendramodi government. The Karur killings is guiding EVERY TVK action.
The reasoning in this order is that this is not a statutory body. But the fact is that neither the Tamil Nadu State Law Commission nor the Law Commission of India are statutory bodies; both are constituted by executive orders.
Tamil Nadu’s State Law Commission has existed from 1994 - all constituted through G.Os. Yet, in 2025, the previous Government constituted a separate High-Level Committee on Union–State Relations under Justice Kurian Joseph
No past reports of the State Law Commissions are available on GOTN's website or elsewhere for perusal.

Individuals named as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-appointed Booth Level Agents (BLAs), and listed as ‘objectors’ in at least 77% of the total 1,021 deletion applications filed so far in Delhi’s Mustafabad constituency, have largely denied any association with filing Form 7s as part of the continuing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the city.
The Hindu contacted all 20 BLAs registered with the BJP, according to the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) records, who are named as filing the 787 Form 7s, which cite reasons such as “absent/permanently shifted”, “already enrolled” and “death” to seek the deletion of electors’ names.
