Twenty years ago, if someone had told me this is what Canada would look like today, I would have thought the idea was unrealistic, even crazy!
I would have believed there was little chance that a significant number of Canadians would support closer integration with the EU while viewing the United States as the primary source of concern.
Fast forward to today, and a substantial portion of the country appears deeply invested in those very positions, often expressing strong support for them despite the political and economic implications involved.

Your argument makes no sense - the for-profit health care must always churn profit - the primary aim. Americans spend more per capita for health care and collectively have the worst health outcomes of any G7 country. You have the lowest life expectancy but spend the most.
Free healthcare sounds cool. It is a disaster in every place that tries it. The only measures they can use to say it is better is a subjective measure of asking people if they like it.
They claim to like it but when you ask them about the wait times, the difficulties and all the other problems you quickly find out they lie to themselves.
Our system needs reform but free isn't the answer. It still costs money. Having the government do it will be much worse. Imagine the DMV running your medical system.
