This is just simply factually inaccurate. It’s comparing apples and oranges, equating scam PACs with candidate campaigns, and assuming all fundraising is done via text message. Talk to a real campaign manager. In reality, over 60-70% is going to voter communication.
73% of your campaign donations go to consultants and vendors; only 13% goes toward ads. This is 4x the cut consultants made 20 years ago. Important work by @JakeMGrumbach and Adam Bonica on the capture of the Democratic Party by consultants.

There is absolutely waste, fraud, & abuse in political fundraising. But those are fringe cases. Donate directly to the candidates you support via their website or check. Or better yet, donate to the DCCC, DLCC, DSCC, etc. who can ensure your dollar goes to the races that need it.

Matt Schultz ran an incredible campaign.
He spoke honestly about the challenges Alaska faces and called out the problems too many politicians ignore.
Matt reminds us what leadership should look like: honest, transparent, willing to tell people the truth, and ready to put real solutions on the table.
Matt has pointed out serious problems—not just in our elections, but across the country. He has challenged the influence of out-of-state money and what happens when Alaskans do not determine our own destiny. He has emphasized unity in a time of conflict and civility in our public discourse. These values transcend any election and speak to who we are.
I’ve been grateful for Matt’s endorsement in this election and, more importantly, for his friendship.
Now we turn to the general election. We must unite behind Bill Hill and work to restore the rule of law and civility in Alaska and across the country.

The Democratic primary in #HI01 is getting negative, with state Sen. Jarrett Keohokalole using footage of Rep. Ed Case in 2006 saying "it is time for the next generation of leadership."
"It's 20 years later, and things aren't going well," Keohokalole says.

Our new ad just dropped.
The system isn’t broken. It’s rigged to squeeze Alaskans and enrich D.C. insiders. It's time to bring integrity back to Congress.

Ed Case has officially announced he won't debate me. He said it best himself — back in 2006.
Ed, I'm right here. Name the date.

Today, and not for the first time this cycle, the NRSC pushed a deepfake of a Democratic Senate candidate. This time it was Graham Platner, but Republicans are going to deploy this tactic widely.
Just last month, @C_and_E quoted me warning about this exact problem.
If you’re stuck explaining why this deepfake is a problem, you’re already losing — the quote being real makes it harder to cut through, even though it is still a deepfake.
Critique the $5 billion they’ve already spent on munitions fighting Trump’s oil war in Iran, not the crab they buy for troops who have had their deployments extended.

Protesting is a fundamental constitutional right. Freedom from warrantless searches is a fundamental constitutional right. Lawful gun ownership is a fundamental constitutional right.
When those rights are met with deadly force by federal agents, it demands moral clarity, not silence. 🧵
